Ustad Rasid Bhai, why have you left us, your innumerable music lovers. God, please send him back to us. Eh Dil Abhi Bhora Nahin! We miss you USTAD!! 😢❤😢 GOD! , YOU DEPRIVED US OF OUR USTAD. LET HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE .
What I missed during my 40 yrs of Army life, I m enjoying now through You tube.Rashid Sab,aapko sunkar nasha sa aa gaya hai. Allah aapko tandurust rakhe.
Ustad Rashid Khan sahab is bearing the torch of great Hindustani Sangheet in his hands tightly. It enlightens both zameen and aasman... Long Live Hindustan
All the thousand of miles away from Durban South Africa listened to this performance by Ustad Rashid Khan absolutely intoxicated so uplifting making me home sick for India.
how much effortless it looks when Ustadji sings. Each rendition of taans woven in pure gold. beautiful imaginative performance . Complete powerhouse performance. Great harmonium and tabla too. they uplift the performance to the highest level
Though the video is seven years old, yet one it is opened and watched ,it leaves its fragrance and an atmosphere of (Bekhudi) when one is drowned under some intoxication. Appreciations for you tube also which preserved such valuable item. Madam Haldipuri you also have a golden soul .
Many thanks to You Tube for enabling us to hear melodious RAAG YAMAN by Ustadji. Ustadji is an absolute divine artist and creating so much of happiness through Hindustani music.
While Ustad ji's rendition is incredible as usual, I am as well baffled by Pandit Shamsi ji's mastery of the tabla. Ustad ji switched to the tarana at 14:07, and it took Pandit ji 1 second to accommodate on the tabla. By 14:09, both Ustad ji and Pandit ji were in sync. To have caught on in such quick time (during a live performance, no less) goes to show the level of mastery of his art. I bow my head in obeisance to both these legends!
Ustad Rashid Khan requires no introduction at all in the world of Indian classical music. Ustad Rashid Khan is one of the most sought after contemporary Hindustani classical Vocalists. Ustad Rashid Khan has made his name shine along with the legendary Hindustani Classical Music veterans. Pt. Bhimsen Joshi once pointed out that with Contemporary singers like Rashid Khan the future of Hindustani Classical music is quite secure. Ustad Rashid Khan belongs to the famous Rampur-Sahaswan gharana, and is the great-grandson of gharana founder Inayat Hussain Khan. Rashid Khan gave his first concert at age eleven, and the following year, 1978, he performed at an ITC concert in Delhi. In April 1980, when Nissar Hussain Khan moved to the ITC Sangeet Research Academy (SRA), Calcutta, Rashid Khan also joined the academy at the age of 14. The Rampur-Sahaswan gayaki (style of singing) is closely related to the Gwalior gharana, which features medium-slow tempos, a full-throated voice and intricate rhythmic play. Ustad Rashid Khan includes the slow elaboration in his vilambit khayals in the manner of his maternal grand-uncle and also developed exceptional expertise in the use of sargams and sargam taankari (play on the scale). He is influenced with the style of Amir Khan and Bhimsen Joshi too. He is also a master of the tarana like his guru but sings them in his own manner, preferring the khayal style rather than the instrumental stroke-based style for which Ustad Nissar Hussain (Khan) was famous. There is no imitation of instrument. In this particular recording Ustad Khan is exceptionally composed while providing the raga- a tranquil 'vistar', with some soft and melodious taans and layakari and exhibiting his own style of singing, while returning back to 'sthai' almost glidingly! Powerful Sargam and tarana adds to the beauty always and here also the case is the same...Long live Ustad!
thanks for the helpful introduction provided on this platform sir!I was curious to know about his background while still listening to this wonderful rendition.
What a tragedy. On one side there is this beautiful rendition of a beautiful raga by none other than Ustad Rashid Khan and on the other side is the audience, most unsuitable for such musical programs.
I am unable to express my feelings, happiness.Words can't catch this divine experience. I am blessed to hear.I have heard, many ragas by him.Malkauns also very ausum
What s great artist.i m from nepal.i know the name of rashid khan he is a ustaad classical singer.i really got surprised and appreciated such a great one.
This is unbelievable performance of ustadji, he used rare musical contents here.. There is no acoustic taanpura , disturbing audience..etc..But real artist doesn't matter. .. Great accompanied by pt tulsidas ji borkar and pt yogesh samsi ji.
Most kheyalias don't seem to know the proper use of tanpura. Dhurpadiyas know this very well. An example is bhopali by Ustad sageer ud din dagar. He is using 4 tanpuras and they are perfectly tuned. It seems that tanpura does not go well with harmonium.
The lady clicking the camera is a great ugly scene in this beautiful recital of yaman by great Rashid khan ji.what a peace prevailing all around during the whole rendition!
kya baat hai..... kya emotion portray hua hai.... wah.. I totally respect him. He and people like him are real seculars. who performs the art which is totally having Hindu origins but they have mastered the art well.
For your information this is not Hindu Art. Raag Yaman was discovered by Hazrath Ameer Khusro, a Muslim saint. Do your home work first before posting an inaccurate statement
@@farooqburney6103 yaman was created by mixing raag hindol with persian melody. Hindol is one of core basic raag created by lord shiva including Bhairav , malkauns , Durga etc. mentioned in ancient hindu texts .Indian classical music and Indian classical dance like kathak , Bharatnatyam etc has it's roots in Hindu culture, tradition and texts . Is there any classical music or dance of Saudi Arabia or Persia or afganistan ? Yeah It is true to some extent that it flourished under akbar by tansen and delhi sultanate during khusro . So please study before commenting rubbish .
