Hi there, the VR Summit has our VR Warm lining throughout the torso and under the arms, with a lighter, smoother lining on the tops of the arms

What is the differnce with the old RAB alpha direct jacket ?

Hi there, The VR lining on the VR Summit jacket is brushed, so it is very fast wicking, so it keeps you dry but also warm. Pared with the wind-resistant outer, this makes the jacket versatile and ideal for when you're stop-starting as it'll keep you warm and protected from winds and the cold, but also breathes really well when you're working a bit harder. It can be worn as a stand alone piece, or as a layer in a wider layering system when the temperatures are very low. Polartec Alpha, which we used in the Alpha Direct Jacket, also offers good insulation and is also often praised for its versatility. It can adapt to a wide range of activity levels and temperature variations, making it suitable for various conditions. Hope this helps somewhat!

In my opinion , the Alpha direct is all the jacket anyone needed , incredibly warm , breathable , fairly water resistant when new ,dries rapidly , tough, I still have 2 and love them 👍
