We adopted a bunny from the shelter the other day first bunny we ever had was doing some research on them when i came across this. Never new this existed its super cute. Some people say its cruel and they feel sorry for the rabbits but i think the rabbits probably enjoy it. Gets them out of there cages plenty of exercise and human interaction. Also people who do this must put a lot of care into the animals keeping them healthy and fit. Very cute love this wish there was a lot more of it only seen a few videos like this. It also reminds us they have personality's just like us maybe the bunnies are lazy or maybe they say "mom im not feeling this today " haha so cute!
@@LetsGetChessy2206 all rabbits need to be free roamed no matter how big or small they are and if you dont hve the space to free roam them then you dont deserve a rabbit
@@mobstercrow7515 My bunny at night prefers to go in a hunt I have in my house so after a while I got a large cage and my bunny hoped right on in if my bunny didn’t seem to like the cage I wouldn’t have it I do the best care for my rabbit possibly so ask before Assuming.
@@LetsGetChessy2206 its not assuming im pointing out facts, all rabbits should be indoors and they should be free roamed there is no excuses, it dosent matter how big of a cage they have they must be free roamed and never say "my rabbit likes the cage" they dont like the fucking cage they need lots of space, you need to research before you get a pet which you clearly did not do
OMG - I used to loooove when my rabbit binkied. It was so cute. I loved when she would spin "I love you" circles around my cats and wrestle with them. They were BFFs. My cat was so depressed when my bunny died. :( I wish I could afford to get another one. She was awesome and so smart. People really underestimate them.
I like how the rabbits are just like, "Yep, approaching the first jump. Wait, I'm not feeling it. Let's re-approach. Alright. Yep, now I'm feeling it."
I love how Smudge's handler practically shoves him to the jumps, and then ends up lifting him over! Too bad we can't try that if our horse refuses a jump! LOL!
you can also tell it's not cruel and the bunnies enjoy it because they "lock on" to jumps, when they see one they want to do! they pull the owner over normally, it's not forced. a rabbit in the wild has to be able to run high and long, and be quick an agile to escape predators, so it's just using their natural instincts. the bunny at 1.20 was loving it!
These are all adorable! My bunny just learned to jump on my lap when i sit in a chair, i hope she will be able to learn to do abstacles too!! She's such a cute jumper! Oh and my fave was Smudge!! =)
arrrrrr. so cute. I laughed my head off when the white rabbit did not want to jump. whooo congratulations cherry! you won. (I know I spelt the name wrong). lovely bunnys
I clearly understand if some think this is cruels and stressfu for the rabbits if this is first time tjey see rabbit jumping. I come from denmark. the competition is almost always outside on a big field with a lot of gress and space. And not so much noice and people standig and looking. much mure peaceful.
No, you just said its animal cruelty.. you didn't give reasons why it is, or list what's harming those bunnies in that competition. You didn't explain. o.o
Siempre he pensado que toda persona que conviva con un conejito o varios tiene que ser una buena persona, alguien que siente ternura y mucho amor. Ellos a diferencia de otros animales son ingenuos, y si se logra su confianza, son enormemente cariñosos!!
EquiiKath remember to do it research before committing because I have 2 bunnies and one of them ate: a yoga mat some crochet my plant and plant pot the cat flap and many other things
soon after she scratched up her other eye and ended up blind in both eyes, sadly, but while we had her she was an excellent pet. I used to clean her cage weekly and I would open it and ask her to hop out and she would and then i cleaned the cage. When I was done I would tell her and she would go to the cage and hop back in...it was all on voice command. My feeling was that we had managed to find a bunny that was exceptionally smart. Now seeing this I feel I have discounted their intelligence!
Very cute and I don't find it cruel at all. These owners are not dragging or forcing their bunnies to do anything harmful. Bunnies are very smart, energetic animals and they probably like the stimulation.
i agree, i had a rabbit who loved to jump, i'd put her on a leash to exercise her in the garden and she took any opportunity to jump anything resembling a fence! i didn't have any equipment to train her with though, but i think she'd have loved it. my new bunnies... one is a stroppy thing, she loved to jump on her own terms lol, and the other one isn't very good at it!
i agree, rabbits should be free and happy, not used to win contests bc we humans find it amusing. i have 2 lovable bunnies and thinking of them being in a contest like this is out of the question, never will i raise my bunnies just for this
I am just beginning in rabbit hopping too! With all the research I've done it seems the H harness seems to be the best fit for rabbits in general and with hopping:)
SWEDEN FOR THE WIN!! Sweden always win. (Yes, always.) Like. Rabbit jumping, everyone likes rabbits. Then we have really good horse riders. We had Zlatan until that ***** left out team so now we're doomed. Unless John Guidetti can take his place. But ofc he can because Guidetti has a song. And then we have great skiers? Is it skiers? Anyway. We also have this really big youtuber that left the country to get to UK but he's still Swedish. He has an army of bros. but most of them never watched his videos. Because he gets like no views. But he's still a big youtuber. Then we have trotting horses. Yes. Trotting horses. They're cute. (At least we don't whip them at their legs like **ahem** some countries do). But all countries. (Almost all countries) are great in their own way. Britain is great in... Tea. (Stereotyping, yes. It happens a lot), some few people in China eats dogs and cats, some in Japan eats shark fins. Made by cutting off the Sharks fins, throwing the shark in the water and
Let it sink to the bottom, either bleed out or maybe starve to death. Or wait... Right.. Die of not enough oxygen because most sharks have to move all the time with its mouth open to get air. But it's the middle of the night. I have to stop writing. I'm going to Stockholm tomorrow. Also, R.I.P.
+Mouse & Cat Australia? Well, if you mean what Australia is really good at, the first thing I think of is the Olympics. Like, Australia is really really good at the olympics. And Australia won its first gold medal in the Winter Olympics and it was so unexpected! You just have to watch the video. Like, Australia was last when they started. But on like the final lap, everyone else fell. So everyone but Australia had fallen. So Australia just skated by them, and won!
I'd like to know what ratio of body size those really high jumps are, to compare to competing dogs. This is SO COOL!! I wish rabbits got more attention here in the ol' U S of A! Rabbits make *excellent* pets, can be very affectionate, can be house trained in most cases, are rarely aggressive if raised properly, and are not as high maintenance as dogs and cats.
Honestly, my little dwarf rabbit (three pounds) jumps four feet to get out of his pen (when we aren't home, hew chews everything he can reach so for his safety and our sanity, he is kept in a pen when not supervised; he normally gets full run of the house) just for fun. So he would actually enjoy those high ones.
Rabbits' bodies are created to make enormously high and long jumps in threatening situations. These obstacle jumps made in safe environment and slow pace are not to make harm for rabbits. In addition, you really can't force a rabbit jump anything too high - they just won't do it. These jumping rabbits are having fun and feeling confident with their loving owners.
arrrrrr. so cute. I laughed my head off when the white rabbit did not want to jump. whooo congratulations cherry! you won. (I know I spelt the name wrong)
I'm no expert but these rabbits don't seem to be enjoying it rabbits are prey animals and being in a large open space surrounded by people with flashing cameras doesn't seem like the best thing to me also I want to know how heavy and big those hurdles are that they are jumping over the way some of the rabbits fell and hit themselves on them they could have been seriously hurt seeing how small they are similar to barrel racing, all the horses ever do is race that is all they know and they never get to enjoy themselves or actually live their life as a horse I'm afraid that that is what these rabbits are also being pushed into seeing how their jumps are similar to those of a jumping contest in horses and what I'm talking about when I say that's all they know is that they get out to train they run the course and then they are put back in their stable similar to the rabbits coming out practicing their routine and going back into their cage for the rest of the day, I'm not saying that this is exactly what is going on but I also do but I do think that these things need to be looked at for the rabbits safety another thing to add is that these rabbits are on leashes what would have happened if out of instinct the rabbit started to frantically try to run away and buy instincts the owner tugged on the leash as they would have dog well it may not hurt a large animals such as a dog it could possibly cause damage to the rabbit I feel like this while is a cute sport I feel like it wasn't well thought out in the rabbit's safety I think it was more thought-out and entertainment purposes however I do not know personally how everything is going on and how they are trained and what precautions they take already since this is new to me however I feel like they need to really look at some of the things seeing how new things are being studied as with muscles and spinal cord said things that are being used in those jumps and how they could long term effect those rabbits and possibly hurt them. Once again I just want to say that this is no hate towards the sport or anyone who does it or any of the judges or anything like that but I really do this is just my opinion and I wanted to put it out there. Possibly if some of you are reading this comment and you are more informed or educated on the sport and the things that may occur maybe you could talk to me about it and answer this comment so I know that everything is going okay and everything is safe and just for my reassurance.thankyou
Lol they enjoy this. If they were as stressed as you say they are, they wouldn't jump. They would sit there terrified. They won't get hurt if they hit a jump, and this is nothing like horse barrel racing or jumping.
I guess everyone finds it so weird cause we're just so used to seeing them in a cage, eating all day. I myself was like "Wow, I didn't know they could actually jump that high! o_o"
Hey I'm really interested in training my bunnies to jump ! Please can you give me tips on how to begin? Thankyou! My bunnies are a Dutch who is 1 and a lop who is 2 :)
Wow, what a prude. Rabbits are made for jumping and they love doing it. These harness' don't hurt them in the least. They were specifically designed for rabbits.
