Once my bunny screamed. We were using the lead she got for Christmas for the first time at the park. It was lots of fun she was enjoying running around and eating clovers. But her leg got caught in the lead and I was pulling it to try and untangle it but it pulled her leg and she started screaming. It was so terrifying and I was crying and she was screaming and hyperventilating. I let go of the lead and she stopped moving so I grabbed her and talked to her and now every time I take her out I hold the lead and and immediately stop moving if it goes under her leg. Keep in mind they are living beings and they experience pain - they aren't toys you can throw around. Don't make mistake, go slow with leads and if they don't like it then stop. Be safe. Xx meg
My neighbours have two rabbits and I babysit them a lot because they are gone almost all the time. It's funny because I'm with them more than they are so they get so excited when they see me come downstairs. It's amazing! So anyways, I let both of them out so they could run around the house for a few hours and one of the rabbits went downstairs where the owners have their workout things. She found a big ball (way bigger than her) and started pushing it around and playing with it! I thought it was hilarious! And then the other rabbit came downstairs and he joined in pushing around the ball with her! It was so cute!
Commander James uhm... sadly i wrote this when i got my first bunny, he died so i got another, he also died this month and don’t be worried my cat loved them
My rabbit chins everything! :P I took my rabbit outside today because it's beautiful out and he peed, so I told my dad "my rabbit is more well behaved then our dogs, he actually goes potty outside" :D
Goddess Agar My sister's rabbit did that every time we let him out to play! We though he had a weak bladder or something, but we realized that it always happened when he was near her female rabbit
Ok good. I thought my bunny was having a hard time breathing. He was only honking😂🙈😅 This video was so helpful. My bunny Mochi always bites my pants and then binki's around with pride.
Straw Go uhm.. first of all im a straight girl.. second of all just because i called her pretty you say im simping? do you even know what a simp means?
My rabbit chins everything and anything! I actually find it quite cute :). When I first got her and she was introduced to my family she chinned their hands or feet.
James Lott My (male) rabbit thinks my (male) cat is a (girl) bunny and tries to hump him. He hasn’t stopped trying and always gets excited when the cat comes near.
Hands down the best synopsis of behaviors I have observed over the years in my pet rabbits. People who say rabbits are boring simply do not understand their language and behavior. My son explained the foot-flick to a friend: “it’s the equivalent of a rabbit giving you the finger for something you’ve just done.”
My bunny loves to dig! I bought her a bunch of baby blankets for her to dig in. She likes to dig them into a ball then stretch them back out. It's cute and keeps her busy. 😉
Yep, my male holland lop grunts around my feet and I'm like k, socialisation is over now bye. Don't like getting humped x(. He's getting spayed this summer.
i just got a bunny yesterday. she's a holland lop and she's the sweetest thing. she's very young, 5 weeks, i saved her from a breeder who just wasn't so great. she loves to eat her pellets but she won't eat her hay. please help with any tips or suggestions!! thank you.
Taylor Dicus My rabbit is picky too. She prefers pellets, but does like third cutting Timothy hay, as it is soft and better tasting than most pet shop varieties. I ordered the hay online. Google this: small pet select 3rd-cutting-timothy-hay .
Young rabbits have a different diet so you should look that up but rabbits should be eating more hay than anything else. My bun loves the pellets, but I give him a 2 tablespoons twice a day and that's it. He's about 7 pounds. Now he eats his hay all the time along with his veggies. You have to train them, it's important for their digestion and keeping their teeth down that they eat a good amount of hay. If there is nothing else they will eat it.
My bunny binkys all the time but he usually sprints the whole way around the room after the jump 😂🐰 also the other day he binkyed and landed in my lap ❤️🥰
Brenley Equestrian I got a fur and dust allergy, try getting a simple mouth mask from aliexpress or ebay, I use them when I clean my pets cages and also when they shed alot, I then brush them before removing the mask and sometimes don't remove the mask at all 💞 It got to me since a year now and gets worser with every month and the mask helps alot 😊 I hope I could help you!
Honking is a sound rabbits make when they want to mate lol. :D You can call it happy sounds all you want but it is a very typical sound made by female rabbits (or rarely by male rabbits). Even though they are always willing to mate, they are in fact sometimes in "heat" and that is especially the time when you'll hear that "honking". So they are not happy sounds, they are mating sounds. Some rabbits tend to even get aggressive during their heat time, so it is not beneficial to think that they are happy and keep on disturbing them. They might suddenly lunge at you at this time and the owner is left wondering "she was supposed to be happy, what is this all of a sudden?". Rabbits mating can actually look fairly aggressive, it includes lots of chasing, nipping, grunting, circling, male digging the females fur etc. The same thing goes with the circling, males and females can do this and it is mating behaviour.
Thank you so much for this great information! I love that you put video examples with each description. It helps so much more than reading an article. My bunny Kona is only 2 months old and I'm completely new at this. This helped me identify some of the behaviours he's been doing which are positive ones! While I was watching this video I saw him flop over for the first time, and thanks to you I know what that means 😊
If I did make some products again I probably wouldn't officially open it. I would just list a few items sometimes.. which I might do but right now I'm to busy
when my rabbit was younger and we just got him, we were just sitting down to eat, he started thumping, and I knew what it meant, but when I went down there, every time he thumped he binky-ed kind of, and I thought it was cute because I thought he was learning to thump, but I'm not sure

Miranda Random I think you mean "informational", not "informal". Two completely different meanings. (Sorry. Not trying to act like a smartass or be rude, just trying to help.)
Love your videos!! So helpful. I recently just adopted 2 Holland lops and I always watch your videos for references and tips. Btw - your hair is gorgeous! Xo
I’ve got a rabbit, named thumper! And he’s so funny at my puppy, he literally does a big grunts at her. Sometimes he chases my puppy around the holes garden!🐰🐰
Thank you so much! I learned so much about my rabbit, Sir Binks. He’s done a lot of these things and the fact that he is so quiet made me really wonder if he was ok or happy with us. As it turns out, he is happy. That puts me at ease. He nudges at out hands when he wants to be pet and that’s about all of the bunny language that I understood from our little guy. Thank you again!
I taught when my rabbit was flopping that she was playing dead for fun she's so funny and she chins her waterbottle and picks my hand and does the binky all the time 😂 and I have 2 females and they mount one another and then one thinks that she is in season lol but they are good now and 6.47 looked like my old rabbit that died 2 years ago on the 3rd Jan 2017
MY MISTY BLU SOME TIME DOES THIS BUT MOST OF THE TIME SHE BUMPS ME WITH HER HEAD REAL CUTE " COME ON DADDY " NOO FOR REAL ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES THINGS SHE DOES SHE IS A FLAMMING RARE TYPE ... MY GIRLFRIEND MADE ME TO BUY HER THAN ME BUYING HER A SIDE ARM $200. A WHOLE LOT LESS ALSO LOL
My rabbit thumps when he doesn't get his way. Not so much anymore. But when he use to have a slightly small space he would get aggravated. He would start trying to move his cage. I then would tell him to stop which he would. then a minute later start thumping. Then I would tell him to stop that as well. He would thump again. Basically we would have five to 10 minutes of arguing from anywhere from 3 to 5 in the morning. Thankfully he doesn't do that anymore since I moved and expanded his area. But I thought I would share that funny story
We had a pet rabbit, she would scream every time we had to give her medicine. She had a ear infection, so we had to hold her and (gently) force her to take her medicine. We were REALLY surprised the first time she screamed. 😂
My rabbit thumps when he doesn't get something or something doesn't go his way. One morning when I was feeding my rabbits i didn't have their veggies so I was going to give them some when I got home from school and he started thumping his feet😂
My baby oreo thumps at me when I remove her from the sofa lol and I so love when she parascopes it's so darn cute we have a adopted her from a very bad home been 3 weeks and she is finally a happy free roaming bunny and just started to just flop down a d act dead lol I love her so much
wow great, very in-depth and informative video!! Ive always thought when my buns is bunching that she is "digging".....There are some things here I learned today that I didn't even for these 5 years since I got her! Thanks lots!!
Hi Abby, I have two bunnies. I find picking them up super difficult as one of my bunnies ran out of my arms whilst taking her back to her cage. I don't want this to happen again to both of them. Any tips on carrying and picking them up? Ly ♥️
Dan's Senpai Maybe set up a pen and put them there, daily. Stay in that pen. Eventually, they will start to come to you. If they dont mind being pet, thats a good thing. Start petting them more, give them treats, and they will start to trust you more. Eventually, they will trust you enough that they wont mind being picked up.
Dan's Senpai My rabbit did this to me before until I talked to my dog's groomer and she said that always pick a rabbit up by holding the back and belly.
Dan's Senpai i think i could explain it a bit. so basically when i got my rabbits 2 years ago, they didn't like being picked up and (as you said) tries to wriggle out of my arms when holding them. what i did was, because i had a pen for them, i would put them in there and just sit down in the corner of it. not stroking them or anything, until they got comfortable around me (then i would stroke them). Now onto the picking up. when you pick a rabbit up you should always support Their hind legs/ their behind. i do this by putting one hand on the stomach and one on the lower back and as i pick them up, i twist my arms so their stomach is facing me (easiest way to explain) and put them on my chest with one of my arms underneath them and one of them across their back *gently*. sorry this is so long but i hope it helped :D
Hi I subscibed and thanks so much for making this video I just recently got a a rabbit and I was so confused why every time I held it why it would kneed and bite my clothing i always just thought it was hungry 😋
This is helpful. I own a rabbit at the farm I work at and one day he ran around in circles of me when I let him run on the grass. And he periscoped in my lap too.
My poor rabbit has gone through a lot. He jumped out of my arms once and broke his tooth, but a replacement thankfully grew back. And this other time he went under a chair but couldn't fit so he kept on trying to get though and squealed and it was so scary. Recently though, he loves me so much that he'll bar chew to get my attention.
