Hi, Ive got a question. I really would like to train my rabbit for kaninhop to. Yet where I live kaninhop isnt a sport, no one really knows what it is and even that it exists! So irl I dont have any resources to learn from. I have already tought my previous bun to jump, and she did quite well. Unfortunately, she died not a very long time ago. I decided to get a new rabbit, and now Im training her. this one, Im training on a leash which the previous hated, this one accepts it. I did teach my rabbit to jump, and even high for a miniature rabbit without profesional training. Yet I just cant figure out how to make my rabbit actually understand kaninhop. She just follows the treats, she doesnt jump out of her self. I really would like to train my rabbit for kaninhop, but i dont know how to do it the right way. Could you please help me out? With kind regards, Gwenn
I will try to make a video how to teach a bunny to jump at some point, the main idea is that you want to steer the bunny with the leash to the jump and not allowing it to go other direction, after a while the bunny understands that the only way it can move is through the jump course and at some point it will start jumping as it should, if the bunny moves in the direction pf the jump, the leash should be loose, if the bunny moves from the direction of the jump it should be immediately corrected by steering it so it faces the jump. You can also do this sound like people use to tell horses to go faster, idk how that is called 😅
