Supercars comfortably have the best internet presence of any motorsport series. Brilliantly edited, and 15 minutes of beautiful, beautiful touring car racing to enjoy.
As a Canadian - I have to say, they've always done a pretty good job with exposure. I remember watching some of it back on the SPEED channel in early/mid 2000's I think.
Drivers in V8SC are truly family. Literally all the drivers in the red flag grabbed a fire extinguisher to try and save the car of a competitor. That's just awesome.
Its everything great about NASCAR without any of the crappy bits... Like the ovals.... Keeps the close nature of NASCAR and the brunt brute force nature that u also find in NASCAR, but it has decent tracks with decent commentators lol.
Haha ! “Bloody Maniac” can’t see for smoke , lol ! What a great Guy ! Yah gotta LOVE this Feller ! Shredded his right back Tyre ,lol ! I would Love to see him in a Formula 1 Car , racing !
@@sdstewart87 Education goes a long way, there is a sensor on each tyre . Anton got pinged before leaving his pit lane stop with his tyre pressure. Shredding the tyre would have no effect what so ever on a tyre pressure check as they are recorded during the entire length of the race. It is starting pressure, not finishing pressure that counts.
Purest form of motorsports, i think switching to the gen3 cars wasn't really necessary. The actual cars have so much character and will remain iconic forever
Very necessary, the cars can’t follow close and are boring, a commodore and Mustang shouldn’t have 700kg of downforce just saying, only F1 cars should be complaining about aero wash
1. the mustang was stretched to fit the role cage and the commodore is no longer build. 2. cost saving as gen 3 cars are said to be cheaper to run 3. less downforce = closer racing
I LOVE Australian Supercars racing....NASCAR is now very boring to me !! ...Bring your great racing format to the states. ...Please. DOWN UNDER has better racing than UPRIGHT BORING OVAL RACING.
@@LHudson21201 2018, 3 gm in top 5. No worries. Got lucky. (FGX). 2019, 2 gm in top 5 (2nd & 3rd). Parity problem. 2020, 3 gm in top 5. Parity problem.
@@seanyuke3249 2019 isn't a fair gauge given adjustments were made mid season. 2020 there was no public cry for parity, Supercars made a change that increased the engine life of the Holdens to reduce costs on teams so that it was equal to that of the mustang. Just because one driver is so far above the rest in this field shouldn't mean all cars have to suffer. Tissue?

What point put that chicane with tyre barrier?! Indeed, it was not a natural chicane nor on the road. Terrible chicane which cost great action on track as well safety of drivers.
Yeh that’s what I though (leading championship) but it has no correlation to what they are driving 🤷🏻♂️ Just very random imo. Definitely highlighting that winning means everything as 2nd / 3rd done even get a mention.
Another uneducated comment. It is the starting pressure, not the finishing pressure that counts. Anton got pinged for having too lower pressure after a pit stop, tyres gain pressure during the race, not loose pressure.
When Supercars took away the co-drivers away from these "endurance" races, you took away the specialness of the race. Now they're just plain boring with the same driver winning over and over. Please bring the co-drivers back. If it's money related, the new cars will be alot cheaper to operate and maintain so that can play into the hand. This used to be my favorite. Sure bathurst is fine but this was uniquely special. You can't say your coming back to the GC "bigger and better than ever" when in reality, it's the complete oposite.
Bull crap... endurance means just that. I'd rather a driver win on his own merits. And as for a driver winning over and over. Your kidding right the Brocks, Johnson, Whincups, Lownds etc all had their time of winning back to back seasons.
Will's car was in front, and if you look at Shane's line afterwards, he didn't leave space and was going to push him into the barrier. It was Davison's corner and right to go through when not given space :)
Sooky Won't Davison ran back to dicky this van gisbergen is making me sickie . Dicky says to davo that ain't no lie , but f**k me won,tie do you have to cry 😢
"Lucrative" international career is a bit of an odd statement, considering the average salary of a Supercars driver is higher than that of a sportscar/GT3 driver overseas. Hell, even Scotty took a chunky paycut to go chase his dream. And none of this factors in how much the guys usually invest to make their seats in Europe. Basically, the reason they don't chase it is because they don't want to.
