Audi did everything by the rules and pushed the cars to what was physically possible. Lancia did everything by the heart and dedicated themselves with passion. This is not a brilliant movie, but made me really happy to see this wonderful era of motorsport in the movies!

This movie is underrated in my opinion. It just came out this year and many people already forgot that this movie even exists. Also, according to what I read in some reviews, some people didn't like the fact that due to the creators' fiction, it was not very accurate to the true story. Some people say that it was a bad movie, but it was very good for me.

Hm, eigentlich die geilste Idee, des Jahres, einen Film über dieses Duell zu machen. Die Bilder der Landschaft und der Fahrzeuge sind großartig, man hat zwei tolle Hauptdarsteller - ABER - Wenn eine reale Geschichte existiert, warum hält man sich dann nicht daran?! Walter Röhrl war Bienenzüchter? Das wird ihn überraschen... hat man, bevor man diesen Film realisierte mit den damaligen Protagonisten Kontakt aufgenommen? lancia dürfte vielleicht noch einigermaßen glücklich mit der recht einseitigen Darstellung sein, aber wie bewertet man den Film wohl bei Audi? Wenn es einfach nur ein fiktiver Rallyefilm wäre, könnte man ihn loben, aber so ist es ehrlich gesagt ein fragwürdiges Machwerk! Trotzdem hoffe ich sehr, dass es insofern Nachahmer geben wird, dass der Rallyesport der Gruppe B häufiger verfilmt wird.

Is it just me but it feels they are driving way slower than the group B cars did back in the day. the film makers should have immersed themselves more in the real videos to get the feel. This seems like a great movie but the driving feels a bit meh...

Considering how difficult is to drive these cars (which remember that they come from an era when brakes and suspension were of secondary importance, there were no power steering cars and electronic assistance systems had not been invented) they did a great job. If you watch videos with these cars racing during the 80s of course they are faster. But if you watch videos from current historic rallies where these cars still participate, you will see that they don't drive fast at all, while in the same historic rallies they drive way faster with Group A cars from the 90s. And in this movie it could be extremely worse, in my opinion. Don't forget that they are actors, not rally drivers.

For example he avoided Rally Finland, the ultimate test of skill and bravery, because he knew he wasn’t going to do well there. The absolute greatest must master all surfaces: asphalt, technical slower gravel, harsh conditions that take tactical skill to go fast enough but not too fast to break the car, snow and ice and finally fast flowing gravel with jumps, which takes ultimate rhythm, precision, reflexes and courage.
