Awesome! Thanks Ben and JV! Combined with the board setup chat, I learnt more, understood more and confirmed more in these two 15min videos than all the stuff put together out there😎🤙
With the commitment you are putting into the sport at the moment, I think you need more beers. Upgraded my monthly payment today. Keep up the good work ! Cheers, Rasmus Sass Bjørch
muito obrigado por todas as explicaçoes, estou no BRASIL, e por aqui não temos velejadores de DUOTONE, eu adoro as velas acho maravilhosas e com muito controle,... PERFEITO
As an intermediate noobie, getting all these tweaking tips is amazing! (But it also feels like RedBull Racing at the moment: One tweak and your completely 'off' setup 😅
can you ask for the difference between lower/up de boom vs moving foward/back the base plate.? theory same efect but when to use or to mix both.? thanks
Interesting idea to keep fixed down haul. For my one year old duotone no cam freeride sail, I feel to need more and more down haul to rigg it to the desired loose leech spec. Maybe I should check the batten tension?
I guess the issue is there can be some difference with different extensions and 1-2cm can be the difference between not enough or too much downhaul. Then they may spec if to be right when brand new, give it a few sessions and it will change many mm’s or cm’s. If the Dacron is dried out it will shrink many mm’s of the length of the luff sleeve.
nice Clips Love it... about the Boom High, my Girlfriend is just 155cm and i say allways to hear... ride the boom higher then ur shoulders becouse the sail performe much better ... the most sails are not constructed for peaple with this small body sice. when I use her surfboard, with her settings. it is all very difficult and exhausting to control... it drives wrong.
Very interesting! I have one question about harness lines: the other day I measured my 28 lines and I found out that the real lenght off the boom is actually around 31 so I was wondering, when the pro guys talk about length do they refer to stated lenght or measured lenght?
At 9:40, when he is adjusting the outhaul, it sounds like a ratchet clicking. Am I right or that sound doesn’t come from the rig? I don’t see where a ratchet would be used for the outhaul though.
