Very interesting to see how close good EVs are at the end. Therefore I stick to what I have said earlier: the overall riding comfort plus the general preference for a car type (SUV/ Sedan/ etc.) plus Brand Loyalty and the security features of an EV would decide for me which car to take - not some 10 minutes mas or menus on a road trip. And finally for sure the price. :-)

Hey Kris, what a terrific race you guys are having! The editing is awesome and you can really get a sense of urgency as you all rush to get charged up and move on. The lack of charging info in the Mustang is annoying. Between the Taycan and the Mach-E, which one has the more comfortable interior for all day driving?

in a Mach-E never go above 80% at a fast charger. After 80% the Mach-E throttles the rate of charge.

1. Pawels Taycan doesn’t have the “Performance Battery Plus” option, it’s the SR+ in other words.. 2. In the Cannonball run, I believe they were able to use HPC’s only, primarily 350 kW EA. (The part of Norway they’re entering now, doesn’t have any HPC’s, for some reason.) 3. Kyle from InsideEVs is like Bjørns American brother from another mother. A true EV Ninja.. Pawel did a few minor mistakes, but it is so nice to have him in the race. 🙂 And he has the coolest car regardless.

Hi Kris, Just watch your vidéo as well as bjorn’s one. Quite à lots of excitment with this race! I have also ordered a Mach E rwd extended range and during vacation period always doing long distances. For your mach e experience what is you gave away here on the strategy we should use to optimise our long distance trip? Any methods? Specific mustang Rule of thumb? Tricks things to take into account while planning our journey?

Would have loved it if the Tesla had been the long range version, for a more fair test. The fact that the standard range Tesla STILL won this race is really not good viewing for those other brands

Considering the results, how exactly would having the M3 LR Ben more fair? 🙈 The Mach-E is a larger SUV style EV, larger, quieter and much more comfortable than the M3. Tesla also had Superchargers north of Steinkjer, so almost half the trip. The Taycan is a performance grand tourer with 4wd. On this route there weren’t many 250kW+ chargers for the Taycan to utilize. On a different route the results would have been very different. Point of the test was for it be close though for our and your entertainment 😊

@@KrisRifa It would be more fair because the other cars are more expensive and not the base versions. The superchargers are part of the Tesla ownership experience, so you cannot discard that. By taking cars with the higher trims, which are more expensive than the Tesla, you have tried to skew the result, but ended up a tie anyway.

Sorry Bill, but you are taking this way too serious - no offense dude 😊 This is a race between cars that would perform equal and that’s what happened. It has has nothing to do with price. This video for entertainment, and to have a close race. You should tell Tesla Bjørn to bring a better Tesla next time, but this is the typical Tesla Fanboyish, even when you are winning it still somehow isn’t good enough 🙈😂 And which version is what is explained within the first 30 seconds of the video 🙏 But your should also withhold judgement for the second video because you don’t know how this ends and what I end up saying at the end of the video. So stay tuned 🤩
