Let me start by saying that I love your app. It is far and away the best out there and keeps getting better. That said, with all of the telemetry coming out of these games these days, I am wondering why there isn't a running car balance overlay (Accelerometer) like you see when they do the real car videos with overlays. I would think that with all of the talk about trail braking and car balance, this would be a no brainer to develop and be a real game changer to learning to drive in the sim world.
This is the idea I brought up to you on Twitch, but it was hard to describe trying to type quickly on my cell phone. It is like the Motec overlay that you see on real car lap videos. It shows G forces (which we do not need in sims), but has a dot on a target that shows the weight transfer via a dot on a target....like a level. Admittedly I don't know much about programming this stuff or what game telemetry can be tapped to do it, but I think it would be an awesome idea that I haven't seen anyone else do at this point. I used it on my real car (Mustang GT) and it worked off of accelerometers mounted inside the car, but it helped me understand how much speed I could carry through a corner and what needed to be done to maintain max grip in corners. Since you can't feel the car in a sim, I think it would help a lot of people.
Nice video. However, for the "Connection Type" setting, it is in the iRacing UI now. Just click your Helmet icon, then click "Account", then click the "Connection" tab, then you can change the "Connection Type" dropdown.
Well that might well explain why I'm having some teething pains trying to get this working for myself. I expected the exact opposite of what's actually required with the windowed vs. full screen. This gives me hope things will fall into place a bit more tomorrow. Thanks!

Great information video Istvan, I wasn't aware of either the Ctrl+Shift+L to unlock the overlays or the QR button to load on other devices so I learnt heaps today. I bought your Pro Version but no luck using it with my Oculus Quest2 VR. I've tried your RU-vid video as well as Discord instructions with no luck and the same as many others. I thought pinning was the key but still no good. You mentioned a 3rd party app and would appreciate a video so I didn't waste money getting your Pro version.
Hi guys, My racelabs app doesn’t seem to properly open. I have downloaded the current version, signed in with discord and the web prowler opens but nothing happens from there. The browser window stays blank and the app / program its self doesn’t log in.... And pointers on how to fix?
did you turn on the auto-open switxh for those overlays? I’d advise you using the layout feature if you have more than 4 overlays to open. Windows also have limitstions and that can also cause that problem
I just bought this application. Im REALLY hoping that I can somehow set this up in such a way so that it will remember what car I'm in like different files. Cause there are a few different setups ill want to have. NOT Only that. But shouldn't those Overlays go away once I get up and get out of my vehicle? Seems to me I don't want those overlays unless I'm in my car. This cant be a too big an ask lol.
All of this is possible. I suggest you to use the layout feature to achieve it. Also for all other questions please join to our discord and ask them there. Its impossible to give technical advice/support in the comment section.
Just wont work for me. I unclick Border and Full Screen, change connection to 1MBPS, set the cars to 63. Iracing will open and everything will be smushed. The cars look taller and it just looks bad. The border also stays. I cannot figure this out and i have watched every video i could find. Is it a problem with Windows 10?? do i need to uprade toWindows 11?? I am lost.
Please go to our discord server where you can get live help. You're probably doing something wrong. Sounds like you also set the screen resolution to something different that it needs to be. It's hard to give you a solution in the comment section, but that's why we have discord server.
I dont want to lock any overlays. For some reason the standings overlay starts up locked and the track map starts up unlocked. How do I get the standings to start up unlocked?
Restart iracong, usually that solves it. If not, then its a know. windows bug, can easily be foxed. Go to taskbar settings, enable “hide taskbar automatically”. Wait 2 seconds, disable “hide taskbar automatically”. That solves it.
at the moment we dont have a solution for you. But we are actively developing a full-screen support. Its just a complicated and long process. Stay tuned for that feature :)

After updating today, I can see all the overlays, EXCEPT the one I use the most, the relative. It will open and show in a browser, but it doesn't work now without that, but the rest (fuel calculator and radar) do.
After the new update, I can't launch a session in borderless fullscreen with RacelabApps running in the background. It kicks me out into windowed mode with a border. Borderless fullscreen works without RacelabApps running but that obviously means I can't run the program while racing! Any fix?
Sounds like the tipical iracing problem. You have to set borderless and windowed mode in iracing and restart iracing. Sometimes this setting doesnt grt recognized only after a restart. If it still not doing the job, then u need to change the borderless option in the iracing app ini file. That will make it work.
I can't see the overlays on the iracing screen. I have a triple monitor. I do see the overlays when I minimiza the racing screen but the I put the 3 screens they stay behind. Any idea how to fix it?
Is there a way to get my custom layout to show on a separate pc and monitor (same network, just separate pc from my IRacing pc) . .I can get just the standings list to show using the 192.xxx.x.xxx:8080/ui/overlay/standings . . It'd be cool If I could get Standings, relative, the little gas brake wheel telemetry thing showing on the screen just above my triples. Thanks
Loving the app! I currently use it in VR for iRacing, but I noticed when using the "Flags" overlay, when a flag isn't on screen, my desktop is being shown! Is there a possible fix for this, or is it user error?
I followed all the instructions... 3 times, but nothing appears. The Overlay window appears when I press ALT + TAB, but it's empty, transparent... nothing can be seen. I followed the instructions step by step, but there is no case, it does not work.
Same here. I uncheck everything, and change the cars to 63 and 1MBPS, when iRacing opens everything is distorted and there are no overlays. However when i also press Alt+Tab, the overlays appear but so does the bordered window. I just dont get it.
@racelab can you tell me as I have no idea and I'm new to sim racing. What does it mean when I see a yellow L1 or L3. I understand it means lap but what is it telling me? Thanks and amazing overlays.
it means those drivers were pitted at lap 1 (L1) and lap 3 (L3). In addition you can even turn on their pitting time which would tell you how long they stayed in the pits
Do I have to have iRacing open and in a session before opening Race Lab? I have been following the basic steps provided and I'm not getting any of the basic overlays on my Sim
you never need dthe fullscreen mode, no matter if you habe triples or not. Borderless fullscreen mode will look exactly the same, and will be indistinguishable from fullscreen mode
how do i get get iracing back in full screen after taking off full screen and border option in graphics, when i try to the overlays from racelab disappear
@@racelabtv i have the same problem. Even when i restart, i still have the taskbar and the image is smushed, with all the cars looking taller and weird. I change the taskbar options to no avail. Any ideas why this wont work for me?

by turning of the vr mode. You most likely turned it pn by accident. Check of auto-vr is on too, users sometimes missclick and turn that feature on by accident
Is there any chance the overlays will disappear automatically when not driving (i.e., in garage or in menu)? They overlap with some iracing buttons and it's annoying the need to move them away for using such buttons.
that sounds like a windows issue. Go to your taskbar settings, enable auto hod. Then go to the taskbar settings again and disable auto hide. this trick will solve your issue
Alt+Enter switches iracing to fullscreen mode. And if you read the support menu => first-steps topic in racelab, you know that iracing should run in windowed borderless mode.
Hi, love the app but I´m having a problem using it with VR. I open one overlay. When I open the second overlay, it opens but also overlaps on the first one, covering it. Could you guys help me? I couldn´t find no place for support. Thanks in advance!
solution is simple. When you open one overlay, you have to move away from the second one, because it'll be on top of the previous overlay. In this way you'll avoid your issue. Just grab it with your mouse on your screen and move it away a bit
@@racelabtv Thank you so much for the reply. I might have not explained it correctly. After the first overlay is open, the second one opens on a different location, ok. But it also loads on the same screen of the first overlay, covering it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@@flaviosi no worries. Is it on top of each other inside VR? In that case just try to move it. Double tap button and that way you'll be able to move it with your mouse. Check the VR tutorial video.

no it's not a bug, it's a user error by you. You probably accidentally turned on the VR mode. Check if VR mode is on, also check if auto-vr mode is turned on (by going to the relative overlay page, top right section of that page)
also I bet you didn't read support menu => first steps in the app, which tells you how to set the application up properly. No surprise you have bugs if you dont read instructions

You’re telling me it was a error made by me. As if I activated vr mode on all 10 overlays I have going. Lol ya dude. It can’t possibly be your program definitely my lack of awareness. You got me.
it should. Maybe you need to check and uncheck hide taskbar automatically. It should not be an issue. My taskbar does not hide automatically and i dont see it when iracing is on.
Awesome app.. Yes I'm just on free version but until I figure out how to get it running without it making my iracing lose a portion of screen (has border like it running in Windows mode) then I can't justify buying full package... Just can't seem to have iracing full screen with the overlay...soon as I run overlays it shows up that bottom bar with date/time start menu etc across bottom... If don't use overlay I get full screen... Any help?
It doesnt matter if you use the free or pro. we help aleveryone we can. I suggest you to check iracing to be set running with windowed and borderless mode (settings in iracing). Often you have to restart iracing for the changes to take full effect. Then you should be fine. I run the same way and mine looks like its running in fullscreen (no start bar or borders showing). Check iracing ini file if windowed and borderless mode are really enabled if the previous step wont work. Come back to me after you’ve done all of these.
@@racelabtv had fulls reen unchecked, border unchecked, restarted game, still had task bar... With border ticked I get a top bar.. No tick means no top bar but still have task bar along bottom...
@@Shady-Rota thats a windows taskbar bug. Here is how you could fix it: - Go to your taskbar settings - Turn on second switch (smthing like "Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode”) - turn it Off - you’re done, you got your taskbar working properly, maybe iracing restart needed
@@bugas-wd8xf it's not a bug in the app but a bug in windows. We cannot do anything about it. The way I described it fixes it, maybe you didnt do it properly.

alt enter is basically setting iracing to fullscreen mode. So no that cant be stopped. Dont use alt enter. Everything will just work fine woth non-fullscreen and borderless mode. Iracing might need a restart after setting these
Anybody having problems with iRacing voice chat not working when Racelab is running? My mic works but no one can hear me but as soon as I close Racelab everyone can hear me.
freezing is an indication that one of your antivirus application is blocking the application from poper functioning. I suggest you white-list Racelab application in your antivirus software. If you dont have antivirus, you still have the windows defender which is the built-in antivirus for windows. Please come to our discord if you can't solve it, and we're happy to assist you there. I have an issue that every time I start the app it doesn’t load all the overlays I had open before. I have to go back to the app and select each one that is missing and start it manually again. Any suggestions please? It’s usually the Relative or Standings one that don’t open.
You're probably using an other application to close racelab. Try to not do that because these programs close the overlays first and then racelab main window => therefore you won't have those overlays opened. Close the main window manually and you won't have any issue with it reopening or not reopening :)
Hi, I recently acquired the racelab license, and I'm having difficulties using it with Asseto Corsa Competizione, the problem is with the brodcasting file in the ACC config folder, I make the changes from that file (9001,"",""), saved, but these changes are undone every time I turn on the computer, it's like ACC restores this file to its original configuration. How can I solve this???? :(
I think it's crewchief that is overriding that file aggressively. So you can't change that because it will automatically restore to whatever he wants it to be. We've introduced a connection settings in racelab where you can align this. go to settings menu => connection tab and align the details that you have in your broadcasting.json file in ACC
