No, it's a lot harder compound in the tires. If yours is like all the others I've seen including mine it should not even be run in stock form due to the binding and subsequent chattering of the driveline. Something that is harder to see running on the ground that picking it up and showing the problem. Having said that I am not uncomfortable with the copy and the non licensed body because a Deadbolt is a non licensed Scout in my observation and the things (nearly everything) that needs upgraded badly on this is the same things that need upgraded badly on a stock Axial. It's not that this needs more upgrades, It's just that this thing needs them more. ESC, tires, and driveshafts. There are toy grade RCs, a third of the price of this with much better functioning driveshafts. You see phillips head screws almost exclusively in toy grade. I bought this as a challenge to myself and because I like the body.
