@@coraliachwastiak5673most of the stuff that people consider problematic in the movie are not in the book. But on the other hand, I understand why those changes were made. First of all, they had to mostly write their summer together before the war from scratch for the movie, based on the few little bits of the characters reminiscing about it that were in the book. And secondly, compared to the movie, the book is a lot more mellow, if that's the right word, and I can totally see why they came to the conclusion that a little more drama would make it work better in cinematic form. For example, the "what do you want" scene is not at all acrimonious in the book like it is in the movie. While that's nice, as I was reading it I couldn't help but think "you know what, this dialogue does feel like it needs a little more sparks flying and a little more friction."
Ted MacFarlane nah honestly if anything I would say Karen is the most boring one. She’s just dumb and doesn’t really do much. Gretchen has a lot of depth
@@randomgeekcrapat that time she was. From1998 to 2008/9 she ruled Hollywood. These actors were not as big as Lindsay at that time. But yeah, later Lindsay fell hard and Rachel and Amanda surged.
Love all of these 3 girls but if im honest Rachel Mcadams was amazing in this movie she had the most hard part to play and i dont think anyone else could have done Regina the way she did
after Mean Girls it's hard to believe Rachel McAdam is the same person in The Notebook and The Time Travellers Wife. same goes for Amanda Seyfried with the films Mamma Mia, Dear John and Letters to Juliet!!
Everyone complimenting Rachel's acting, but oh my god, Amanda has grown up to be such an amazing actress. I saw her in the dropout after years, and it took me a good while to recognise who she was. No, it's not because she is older, because I recognise her from her current interviews and pictures, it was her acting and how she presented her character. Truly amazing
First time I feel old I saw it when I was either a kids preteen or very early teen. When it originally came out I was 8 turning 9 that June when it came out early 2004 just few months after Freaky Friday came out August 2003.
00:13 - 00:29 I see a little of Regina still on her but in a kind sweet way. The way she moves her mouth and teeth (the way she says the word "miserable" and smiles a little bit, Regina's smooth lips!), is not what she normally acts in other interviews, she took the character and made it work so well, she still had little Regina's moves on her face... And that is SO FETCH!
It's funny that Lindsay Lohan was at that time star and main character, while Amanda and Rachel was on the second parts. And now Rachel and Amanda are A-list stars with two or three movies per year, and Lohan is....well HAS a lot of problems. Life's interesting thing. )))))
Lindsay is back in films with Netflix married and a baby livin her best life and we’re here for it!!! Loved her since I was 3 when Parent Trap came out 1998.
i love how Lindsay is messed in the head now. but Rachel is an amazing CANADIAN actress and Amanda is going to be big, cuz now, after Mamma Mia she has like 5 movies on the go. She is filming in Toronto!!!! does anyone no where Lacey went?
i hate when in interviews when the interviewer asks the person if they were in a clique in high school. the answer is always gonna be no, or like they were friends with everyone. no one is going to say they were popular.
