@@justjerry2363 Sounds live to me. Rachel is no Mariah, but she can hold a tune and generally decent. if her vocals were not live, there would have been a noticeable difference with Gareth's vocals (which do sound live). I don't really hear any processing or strong autotune.
@@peprilen Amen. Gareth's voice is super echo-ey because of the size of the stage/ soundstage where they're shooting. Rachel's vocals are crystal clear. Rachel can likely hold a note but this is no-way live. It must be so awkward having to live duet with a lip-synching singer.
Rachel's vocals may or may not be live but it's still her singing either way. Shouldn't matter as this was an amazing duet. And look at Gareth trying his hardest to make Rachel fall in love with him lol.
***** He could have got it from Rachel had he been "looking at her" while singing to her, and besides i think Rachel looks at him as to feminine to get with. However Paul & Rachel should have sung this song to each other like this in 2000 and the L.A.7 Paul would have 'got it in' and hooked up with Rachel at the end of the song.
There's alot of History in this Song. The Lady who Co Wrote it Linda Creed is no longer with us. She Co Wrote virtually every Stylistics Song with Thom Bell. It was also covered by Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye (RIP). It blows me away to know that the Music of Motown, & Philly is still as popular now than it ever was.
Like a previous viewer at 1.38 Rachel’s look was like wow you can sing live!! The pop idol judges turned Gareth mic on his lines and he shown how it was done! Sings from the heart! I’m sure Rachel’s were pre recorded
The video's just so-so, but the song is not too bad. It really grows on you after a while. Hope you'll continue posting up any interesting duet videos you come across.
i been follow s club since 99,and rachel looks so much like 88% like jennifer aniston:)woow cool.i sang this song on a karaoke night when this came out, that was soo cool.loved it-isabella sweden
I would love for Nadine Coyle and Robin Thicke to do a duet to this Song. God Bless The Brits for keep American R & B Music alive when many of these Original Groups career went downhill. Most of them now perform n Golden Oldie Shows. Also Russel Tompkins Falsetto was a major influence on not only Barry Gibb Of The Bee Gees and Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block. It was also the Love Song for Kevin Arnold & Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years. I wonder if the Children knew it was done by The Stylistics.
I think she's miming well!! I can breathe in the same phrases she does too! I think the main give away is the sound quality. When Gareth is singing on his own it sounds live. There's an echo e.g. around 1.29 and 1.43 where hers sounds like a cd. Just my thinking on it. Love the duet tho.
simplybelle07 How can you say they have no chemistry, Rachael was Gareths pinup on his wall before he became famous and she is obviously taken aback by his good looks. I love them singing this song together.
