I’m not a dwarf, don’t have black hair or snow white skin, I’m not beautiful or a queen, I’m not a white male, a rabbit, bird, deer, or an apple..nor am I an animation..yet I’ve loved the original Disney Snow White for 60 years. I’ve seen thousands of films where I don’t see myself on the screen, and it’s a no less engaging experience. This whole DEI Agenda is a product of the extreme narcissism of modern society, and the people levelling the accusations against audience’s failure to engage are the very people who are the ones with the problem. *They* are the problem, not the customers.

It's not a modern story about not a modern woman. If she wanted to make a modern tale, she should have written an original one, not bastardize one from the middle ages. Families that want to watch a classic fairy tale, will reject the movie, rightfully so.

It did really well at the box office too, got a score of 6.1. With some help from a Huntsman, a Duke's son and some Dwarfs, she fights and kills the evil Queen all by her self and is crowned Queen of her Country. It wasn't preachy or WOKE, just a different version for an OLDER crowd meant solely to ENTERTAIN the audience NOT LECTURE them.
No mention that the 1937 classic was indeed made by artists. They had to conform, agree, work together. The animation was an enormous task in those times. They also had to be talented, and hence "disney magic" was born out of that. This woman has made all about HER.
As a white guy, Blade is one of my favourite movies. Not because I see myself as a black badass vampire slayer, but because it's a bloody awesome movie. The fact these people cry racism as a top reason for the movies failing only shows that they're the actual racists.

Someone should ask Zegler, if the Dwarfs are the ones doing the cleaning, why would they let Snow White stay at their cottage? Part of the reason Snow cleaned the house in the original is not because of some "misogynistic" view of women. She did it out of the kindness of her heart in the hopes that whomever lived at the cottage would let her stay for her kindness. But Zegler doesn't understand that because, in her own words, she watched the movie once as a child, hated it for some reason and never watched it again.
Her take on snow white is a perfect allegory for the modern western civilization. Non-white flees persecution into a white home, does nothing to contribute, then acts entitled to worship.
The 1937 movie was not about a 1937 woman. It was about the fairy tale from 200 years before. Now, If Disney wants to make a film about a "modern" woman (I don't accept that they are really doing so), then make some new movie with a differnet title. What's next? It seems that for some strange reason they have had test screenings for people outside the moviemakers themselves and then have had reshoots when the test audience has hated the movie they have been shown. What will they do after the next reshoots? If any test audience gets the chance to see it they will just hate the new variant also. Will they reshoot it again? I don't get it. Either they want a movie that people want to see, then they don't hire Gerwig to write it, or they don't care if anyone outside of Disney likes it, they just make it for themselves, like She-hulk, The Acolyte and Blade, and why would they then have any test screenings or reshoots at all? It just don't make any sense just looking at this movie by itself. Do they want the stock to tank? If so, why? Do they want people in the end to reject feminism when they see how everything turns to shit both economically and culturally when you try to really push it on people even though people are more and more vocal about that they don't want that?
They could have made 99% of all the drama disappear overnight if theu just changed the name of the movie. Using that 'Snow White' name and movie likeness just to push your views on people is what's leaving such a bad taste in people's mouth. Make your own original movie and let is stand on its own two feet.

Clearly, Zegler never watched La Femme Nikita or Xena Warrior Princess. Nor has she read the original Grimm's Snow White. She is brainlessly parroting ideology she has no concept of. Femininity is beautiful on so many levels she can not conceive. Sarah Connor and Red Sonja are two of my favorite characters. So is Snow White and the Goose Girl. None have a thing to do with any other. They inhabit immense power in entirely different ways. Snow White overcame tremendous odds by remaining compassionate and sweet despite her devastating trauma. She survived against all odds without ever having to sacrifice her being. That is the entire point of the story. That is why she found true love. She and the prince were equals in truth and integrity. Disney has lost the plot. There is absolutely nothing to be scoffed at about a woman inhabiting her femininity. I personally like to be in the wilderness, ride motorcycles, fire bang bangs, play video games, build things... but also love cooking, pretty dresses, heels, and the beach. That is my personal femininity. Snow White is not a battle princess. She was so good and kind she did not need to be. That is what made her magical.

The real controversy is how Rachel Zegler gets to claim to be a POC. She claims this status because her mother's mother was born in Colombia and immigrated to the U.S. But that makes the grandmother White just like about 88% of Colombians. Yes, she has dark hair and eyes just like most descendants of Spanish Conquistadors from Europe. Just compare Zegler to Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. Cruz and Bardem were both born in Spain and you wouldn't call them _people of color_ despite them also having dark hair and eyes. Dark hair and eyes are the most common in all of the world. And she certainly cannot claim POC status from her father's side. His family immigrated to the U.S. after WWII from Bavaria (a region of Germany and Poland.) Rachel insists they are NOT JEWISH. So, one has to wonder what Fraulein Ziegler's family was doing between the years of 1932 and 1945. Perhaps that explains Rachel's attitude toward Gal Gadot and the other non-Arab people in Israel. Did you know Ziegler means "brickmakers?" For some reason I found that interesting.
Lots of great young actresses for girls to look up to, Jenna Ortega and Anya Taylor-Joy for example. Great personalities, senses of humor, and talent. Zegler on the other hand should be on some MTV reality show.
If Disney wants to make a film perfect for this new breed of actress looking for true to life representation, maybe they should consider adapting The Emperor's New Clothes.
They already did adapted The Emperor's New Clothes - via the movie "The Emperor's New Groove" (2000), albeit heavily deconstructed like they did with "Frozen", "Hercules" and "The Jungle Book".

What about SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. Dwarves were done so well. In the end, she is leading an army against the Queen. She has armor the whole bit. I liked this film, not a classic but it was well done. The more I hear of this Disney film, the more it sounds like the Kristen Stewart movie. Well It's happened, Zegler has totaly lost it. What I will never understand is why she thinks adults will want to see this film. I have never heard one adult mention it, ever. that is not the target audience for a fairy tale, and a live action remake has an even smaller demographic.
