As a German I feel seriously offended. The original "Schneeweisschen" is from the brothers Grimm and was published in 1812 - 1858. So all those entitled brats should get their facts straight. @@lclungen3611 Ok, but her Dad IS German. HELL where do you think the name Zegler comes from. You can hate her for all you want for any other reasons, but she is still a white german actress. Since Columbian is a Nationality not a race. That’s like saying Ana de Armas or Pedro Pascal aren’t white (They are). Also if you “actually” care this much about specific National representation for some reason why don’t prey on the entirety of Hollywood. Joaquin Phoenix has no French blood in him yet for some reason he’s playing Napoleon in the new movie. Same thing goes for Lily James in Cinderella. Ana de Armas playing Marilyn Monroe. IDK not to be rude or passive aggressive, but I feel like this whole outrage is very manufactured. At 5:55 she said she gets stopped by fans to get pics EVERYTIME she's on Snow white ride. How often does one go to Disneyland for Snowhite ride? And that's where she said "it's the w...", but she stopped herself from saying the WORST probably realising it's not a good idea to call her own fans the WORST. A little too late though. So YES, she absolutely WAS COMPLAINING!! basically the entire interview she's bitching about her job, her fans and acts like she's a superstar when at that time she had 2 movies OUT and both were HUGE FAILURE. She's literally the main reason Snowhite was already postponed twice as at Disney they know how much she made people hate her!

Snow White hasn’t come out yet so that doesn’t count. West Side Story released when covid is still high and it was a flop more so for Stephen Spielberg than her as a no name actress. Shazam well she was a side character not a lead. Her track record hasn’t been great. The first two aren’t her fault, but that last one is probably a career ending move on her end.

She’s really been an overnight sensation. West Side Story wasn’t even released and she filmed Shazam 2 and then cast as Snow White. And then after wrapping Snow White she’s been cast as Lucy in the Hunger Games prequel. She looks like a Disney princess. Such a beautiful smile she has and her voice is just like a songbird. She's actually rather likable and very well-spoken, I wonder why she made those comments about the Snow White show. I do hope she learns and keeps going. I'm only 23 going on 24 I've made the mistake of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and getting canceled. It is a very lonely feeling to make a mistake and be reminded of it constantly people forget to love sometimes. I do hope she bounces back she seems like a great individual.

Sixteen years later she watched it again, was cast as Snow White, and now attended the park as she did when she was a kid. If Rachel says the Prince is a stalker in Snow White, by that logic you could say Tony in West Side Story was a stalker. Stephen Spielberg's West Side Story had some changes to the original film but the story and the characters were the same, just given more backstory. I've heard that Rachel auditioned for Snow White without knowing what the project was and they wanted someone who could sing. It's no wonder Rachel was offered the role in that case as she is clearly gifted vocally. There' no doubt her singing will be great in Snow White but you do have to wonder why the film is called Snow White if the story has been changed so much with no Prince and no dwarves . The Little Mermaid film I haven't seen but it still had a Prince and as far as I know the story was not changed and that was also a Disney film.

@@ava4092 That could be true. Rachel is undeniably talented. I think the Hunger Games film could turn things around for her. It's not fair that Rachel is being blamed for the Snow White film not having a prince or seven dwarves. Rachel did not write the script and Rachel herself is not against love, she has a boyfriend. The Snow White film just seems radically different from the original story as the Prince and the dwarves were important characters. As I said the West Side Story film Rachel was in was not radically different to the original story.

There's no denying Rachle Zegler is a very talented singer and actress. She graduated high school in 2019, then in her first film she played Maria in Stephen Spielberg's West Side Story( she was cast while still in high school) and she's been cast in a number of other Hollywood movies since then. The Snow White film may be woke but Rachel is just a performer in the film, she didn't write the script, many young performers would jump at the chance to star in a Disney film. Rachel may have said some things that show an entitled attitude, people learn from their mistakes.

It’s sad, really. Looking at comments on this vid from 4-5 months ago, they’re all positive. But you’re right. Rachel did not write the film. Disney intended Snow White to be woke. Even if they casted Angelina Jolie, or Anne Hathaway as Snow White, the film will still be woke. And people don’t see that. People hated the woke idea and Disney realized they messed up. To save the movie and the money they put in it, they used Rachel as a scapegoat. It’s damage control. If people hate the movie, they not going to spend money to see it. But Disney is not going to let that happen. Yes her attitude needs tuning, yes she said some controversial things. But people need to know that she’s still young. And that Disney actually wanted her to say those things because it aligned with their concept. Otherwise, Disney would’ve called her out last year when the interview came out or would’ve fired her then. So Disney ruined her career, but saved their own asses.

She is so beautiful, but the way she speaks makes me feel very uncomfortable and I don't know why. I haven't watched the new West Side Story... there's just a feeling of intense vanity coming out of her. "I'm a narcissist," scares me. It makes me feel like she's telling the truth.. I grew up loving Snow White and I am a Latina, I'm pale, but it's not that she's my race and playing Snow White, it's that she made fun of Snow White, and insulted it. That just made me so sad, Snow White when I was little was the Princess I most aligned with. I dressed up as her for Halloween in 1994. I was so excited about Disney making live action films.. I don't care if they were to choose a Latina woman, that would have made me feel even more connected to Snow.. but the way she spoke about Snow White just hurt so deeply to the collective that loves her. & it's not about the fact that she's Latina.. it's about her attitude toward the beloved character.

Has anybody here met Rachel Zegler in person? Don't think you can judge a person solely by what they post on social media. If Rachel is a narcissist, it seems rare that she would state she is one outright. Perhaps she was joking. Don't think Rachel is evil, just brainwashed by some of the woke things like some young people are today. Some people say Rachel does not sound anything like Snow White is as a person but why should she be? Actors often portray roles that are very different to themselves. Look at Meryl Streep, all the vastly different roles she has played. The fact Rachel is a young actress with a great singing voice is why she is landing Snow White and The Hunger Games. Perhaps the reason some young actors are not on social media is because they fear if they are too outspoken about anything, it could affect their career. A lot of Rachel's problems seem to be in regard to her social media posts, not her talent as an actress or singer.

It's amazing the amount of hate Rachel Zegler is getting just because some things she's done show her to be entitled and she's said and done some stupid things like we all do when we're 22, sometimes much older. A lot of people seem surprised if not all actors are saints. They've obviously never seen the film All About Eve. Regardless of your opinion about Rachel, she is talented and if she makes wiser choices, she could still have a career. There are rumors she may perform on Broadway.

I have to admit that when I first heard of Rachel Zegler, I saw her in some clips from a community theatre production of West Side Story, there is a monologue she did on youtube, I was very impressed with her singing and acting. She is clearly a very talented young woman. judging from what I've seen of her recently with how she conducts herself on social media, she seems very conflicted. She goes on about kindness yet I've heard some say that she blocks people if they point out examples where she hasn't been kind. If anything she could be sort of a genius musically yet immature in other ways. She got cast in seven film productions, mostly lead roles in big budget Hollywood films and she graduated high school in 2019. Her first ever film role she was cast by Stephen Spielberg out of thousands of hopefuls. Rachel also won a Golden Globe for her first ever film role. That is impressive.
