This is why I love high school musicals: Because there is always that ONE KID who you can just SEE has real talent, or at least stage presence. There's a charming, earnest amateurishness to them, but that one kid -- and it doesn't have to be the lead -- steals the show.

Wow! She sounds almost exactly like she does in the film! I'm going to see it a third time, and I'm even considering a fourth.

Wow she's incredible, the whole cast is fantastic. It's so impressive hard to believe it's a high school musical. Seems like a Broadway touring company. She's young to have a huge career. Sings like an angel and pretty look a goddess. She stood in the right line... hope she has a huge career.

Gotta call it: she is going to be the best thing about this new adaptation. Can't wait for this movie to come out!

Bc this is so dope. The fact that she did this at 16 and then went on to be in the movie. Fucking go her honestly. I've already seen the new movie (It's jaw droppingly good) but I feel like watching this full production next would just be so cool.

Kids, Natalie Wood did not sing in the original West Side Story. Her vocals were done by Marnie Nixon. Glad they chosen a real singer for the part of Maria in this decade’s adaptation.

If I had been in the audience my jaw wouldn't have just dropped, it would have dislocated. Phenomenal. ❤❤❤

Oh, yes. She’s good - very, very good. I can see why they chose her. She has a wonder quality about her on top of a terrific singing voice. If she plays her cards right, she’s going to have a very long and successful Hollywood career. God bless her; she’s only 20. I pray she keeps her head above water and steers clear of all the sharks out there.

Saw the movie. As expected she was amazing! (The whole thing was actually)… so now I’m here to see her sing it again! (Until I can see the movie again!)

Just got back from the movie, and Rachel was so transcendent! It definitely shows here what potentials she has as a new up and coming actress.

Rachel will be fantastic in the film. Her grace and dancing are as lovely as her voice.

The fact that she can sing over 5 other voices and the audience is nothing short of impeccable.

I’m personally not a fan of musicals. That said, she is a solid casting choice to play Maria in the upcoming film. She hit every single note effortlessly!

If "I Feel Pretty" is cut from the film, at least we can watch this.

It's so interesting to see the stylistic changes to the movie version she was in later. Much more classical. Round and lots of vibrato. The movie version is more contemporary. More forward placed. Softer too. Both are really impressive but you can definitely tell she has improved

In my opinion, Rachel will be the best Maria, a beautiful Latina girl with an even more beautiful voice. I know she will do the movie adaption justice. ❤❤ Also, she'd be perfect on broadway.

She good but not great, her upper registers are not very pure. This is a much better performance. Also done by a high school cast with 16 year old as the leads.
