Rachel's voice is so beautiful I will never be tired of hearing her voice. I hope that she'll get a chance to play Jenna at least once in her life!! We really need it
Hope she never loses that quality of singing "off the top of her head" where its spontaneous train of thought, even though songs tend to be studied over and over.
@@toby4643 It means you're still immersed in the music, and you may take artistic liberties on the spot in order to add to the performance. A lot of Rachel's performances tend to have slight differences to them depending on what she feels like doing in the moment.
I actually can’t wait to see her in this role. She has such a subtleness to her voice and I feel she could also captivate this role perfectly. I love Rachel!!!
Her placement is absolutely ridiculous. It gives me chills🔥👏. She just mixes so expertly and I’m jealous and in awe at the same time lol! Lastly, I could listen to her vibrato all day! It’s honestly so perfectly balanced!
Wow I wasn’t expecting to hear much from the actress they casted as Maria in WSS (cus Angel Elgort isn’t a theatrical singer & most movie-musical singers aren’t that good), but I was VERY impressed! I only hope her head voice “operatic” voice needed for WSS is this good!
How is she not Jenna already?! Rachel absolutely killed this!!! Not only does she have a phenomenal voice, she really nailed the emotions of the character. I’m obsessed 😍
Zegler has the POWER! 🙊 She has an incredible career ahead of her if she wants it, and it looks like she definitely wants it. I hope to hear her in person someday. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The acting is on point, such a natural at acting. Her voice is beautiful but she went flat in some key moments. But sooooo soooooo beautiful. She’s grown so much since the first time she sang this.
So what? No live vocal performance is ever 100% pitch accurate. The big belted note was so slightly off that the average listener wouldn't even notice. It wasn't enough to detract from the overall performance.
@@carr0760 as someone who knows about vocals, and a fan of Rachel, this was a constructive criticism note. And yes, a live vocal performance can and should be 100% on pitch.
@@iamandrewaquino No, it won't. Run a live vocal through a pitch detector/monitor program and you will never find one that is 100% accurate. Even someone like Pavarotti, a highly trained, highly skilled vocalist with perfect pitch isn't 100% accurate. He'll be off by a few cents on many notes. That's just a function of being a human, not a robot. Especially when one factors in vibrato. Again, it won't be noticed by the average listener, but it is the reality. Oh, and I'm a professional vocalist and voice teacher with decades of training and experience, so I am "someone who knows about vocals."
@@carr0760 as a “professional vocalist and teacher” you should know better that a live performance can be 100% accurate. It takes a EXCELLENT teacher to show that. Again, this was my point of view and constructive criticism. You could’ve made your own comment instead of insisting to pollute mine.
@@iamandrewaquino You are objectively wrong. Period. You're obviously too stubborn to accept objective, scientific facts, so I'll stop wasting my energy.
I feel like you're one of my best friend theater buddies but I just want to run up to and hug and tell you how proud of you I am! You're so amazing rachel!
