This will make me sound insane but imma play devil’s advocate. Lemme point out that, in mental age, Zack is younger than Ray. He can’t even read and I’m convinced trauma stunted his mental development- meanwhile Ray could beat my ass in Jeapordy within seconds and by thousands of points because she’s just that smart. And also very mature. You get the idea.
No you're quite right Zack Was used for child labor in a illegal orphanage and was set in fire at a very young age. There is a good amount of evidence that he never actually went to any formal schooling and cannon that he suffers from Impulse control disorder which make some highly impulsive.
Exactly, it's also clearly shown that he has never been to a school before(He can't read, the paper Ray found clearly saying that Zack is illiterate and lastly that one line he said-"I might be dumb, but it doesn't mean I can't learn..") that's all the proof I got.
And Japan is in another part of the world. Japan does not have the same rules so it could be legal there. Not to mention it depends on what time era this series took place.
I dunno I think of their relationship more as a sibling relationship, Zack shows affection to her like a big brother would, y'know head pats and stuff.
