When I was in middle school my history teacher had a copy of the book this movie is based on. He let me borrow it and I enjoyed it so much that he let me keep it. I still have it on my shelf to this day. Great book.

This movie was so good in terms of cinematography and action scenes. Went on to inspire future war movies and even Call of Duty. Simply the greatest war movie I ever watched as a kid, it cemented my love for Infantryman
@@DestinyAwaits19 Yeah it is. It explains much greater depth what the cause and aftermath of this was. The movie gets basically all of the actual combat and what occurred correct. But the viewer is then left with absolutely zero explanation of why the Somalis were getting sick of the United States being in the area in the first place.

I have a HMMWV and they were not designed for a combat vehicle they were the Military's version of a "Side X Side" that you see in the last 15 years. The HMMWV is a beast off road but slow.

This was my favorite War Movie when i was a kid. Had a Three part disc until i had the full version DVD. This movie took my interest and fascination of Army Rangers and Delta Force.
