As a bassist myself mr.Eriksson's interpretation really inspired me for the musical, aesthetical, technical, mature approach! Definitely one of the best musicians of our time and I am still looking forward to your next things to come. Bravi!!!

Rachmaninov played on a double bass. Very interesting combination. Beautiful. These videos are great. I hope this channel gets more attention from the music world.

Stunningly beautiful and so unexpected from a Bass!! Very impressive! The piano could be a bit softer at times - esp when it's purely accompaniment. I felt myself straining to pull out the Violinbass thread. The low note at the end - the lowest note of the piece was wonderful - gorgeous and rich! Also happy you didn't drag this out to 7 or 8 minutes and got it done in 5.5!

Оригинально! При исполнении на фортепиано за аккордами не всегда до конца слышится тема,а на виолончели очень хорошо!

I don't find myself a great fan of Rachmaninoff works - If I am honest. Not my Favourite composer. I found this elegie version you recorded some time ago. I listened to it for about a year now. I don't find myself a great fan of Rachmaninoff works, I love 2 maybe 3 pieces, not much of a fan. But you Adrian, You are talented enough to put an elegie to life. And I am very happy I decided to follow you long enough - to see a video. Thank you.

Curious to what composers you are a fan of? Since Rachmaninov is my favorite composer tied with Liszt.

@@MyPianoArchives Liszt is indeed in my top 3, along with Chopin and Tchaikovsky. After that it's another tie with Beethoven, Mozart and Schubert. Debussy and Ravel would come after for me. But I kinda dislike Bach, tbh. I adore Mendelssohn and other stuff like Stravinsky or Dvorak, but I don't find the entire body of work as I really love some pieces compared to others, so I do enjoy Bruckner and others, I am just not a huge fan. I think it's mainly cause of my love for Romance and softness in Classical music, which sometimes get lost. Schumann is also really good. But yes on Liszt. He was always really one of my favorites mainly for the value of silence. 💙

Luckily, music preference isn’t tied to a composer! I absolutely adore the nocturnes of chopin, but i can’t find myself in his piano concerto’s or etudes. As with rachmaninov, i also like some pieces, not all. That’s why we are all blessed with so many beautiful pieces, so there’s always enough for everyone. Stay healthy!
