Superb performance. As other comments said "very surprised to hear this Rachmaninoff piece played so perfectly on the guitar". The molody in the bass was well executed and the resonance is sustained long. Superb control of Melody and accompaniment. Suoerb technique in the 2nd movement, flawless technique while maintaining the legato of the melody and changes in chord. Some surprises in using semi rasquados in some chords, add different character to the performance. Overall, just one word Bravo Superb.

I'm a guitarist who plays a little piano and I've been trying to play this piece (my favorite for the piano since I was a child) for decades. I never thought to translate it to the guitar - it seems much easier to play there rather than struggling with those voicings that are quite close together yet cover a wide range of keys on the piano, not to mention reading the double sharps from the sheet music.

A very close friend of mine, been a musician for forty years, absolutely hates classical music. But he has a stack of albums of various Rachmaninov symphonies. My friend is a heavy metal/hard rock guitarist and vocalist and he always says if classical music had a rock, fringe, composer, it’s Rachmaninov. I’m not sure what he means by that, but then again I find classical music interesting but cannot be confused with a connoisseur. This however was fantastic. But I’m an idiot.

@@snowy686 My music complexity pretty much stops at “what I like” and “what I don’t like”. I actually enjoy Rachmaninov because through by friend, I’ve had more access to it, since the early 80s. So, I don’t get the connection he makes to metal. I’m a huge fan of rock that’s very much on the fringe, because that’s where I am. I’m by no means status quo. Tony, my friend and I connected over similar upbringing and similar tastes in music, movies and literature. I have been wondering how he formed his view of Rachmaninov but, through all these years, I refused to have him break it down for me. I’m afraid of feeling like a bigger idiot than I already lay claim to.

Formidable Edith, bravo. Un projet merveilleux. For those who haven't noticed, she's used scordatura (string retuning) to get the resonant lowest string down to the original C#. I'm a pianist not a guitarist but I think it's a full detune of the whole instrument for overall resonant effect, including in the arpeggio execution. The lowered string tensions require very sensitive and adaptable technique.

It's pretty rare that a piece hooks me in with just the first three notes. Seriously brilliant performance.

That was incredible. The level of touch that you exhibited in the opening measures, I'm sure that most pianists would be jealous of. Very cool arrangement! You really maintained the piano like feel of the piece while also letting the character of classic guitar take center stage when you needed to.

Intense!! Never imagined hearing this on a classical guitar even come close the depth, tonality, moody darkness that a grand piano can deliver… bravo!!! You nailed it… AMAZING!!!

Tout simplement magnifique. Dès les premiers accords c'est comme si je découvrais à la fois le son de la guitare et à la fois le morceau. Magique.

Amazing arrangement Edith, first time I hear this prelude from Rachmaninov transcribed so well on classical guitar, go on with your work! Now waiting for the purchaseable score!

Very nice. I think that it lacks some of the power that the piano version has, but the notes are very clean and it sounds a lot more virtuosic.

This is a gem. I have played classical guitar for many years and i have never seen someone play Rachmaninoff so effortlessly and beautifully ❤️❤️❤️ Can you please publish the sheet music for this piece. I would love to try and play it

I love playing this piece on piano, but on the guitar and with so much feeling is quiet the treat. You’re crushing it!

The skill and practice you have put into this piece (while at the same time adding your own personal feel to it) is nothing short of amazing! The thing that is the most amazing is the sheer emotion behind the instrumentation. If music doesn't have emotion, it has no soul. This music have that chilling beauty that takes you to another place, bravo!!

Amazing arrangement, I also love the passion you play with. Don't think I've seen a classical guitarist go so hard on the strings before :)

Fantastic! I was swept away by the passion and skill with which you performed this wonderful arrangement. Plus, despite the detuning down to C#, the intonation was spot on up and down the neck. Bravo!

Здорово получилось!! Хоть и говорят что на гитаре не нужно играть Рахманинова, после просмотра таких вариантов становится ясно, что это не так!
