“Vocalise” (1912, revised in 1915) is a wordless song composed for voice and piano. It is a lyrical and expressive melody that showcases the beauty and emotional depth of the human voice. The piece consists of a long-breathed, flowing melody sung on a neutral vowel sound, without any specific lyrics or text. It captivates listeners with its soaring melodies, rich harmonies, and heartfelt emotions.
Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff, 1873-1943.
