Great job capturing the deep energy of a Midwestern storm on video. My wife and I are moving to Japan this winter from Nebraska and the storms are going to be something I really miss
I'm really glad to see you all back home again safely. Really have missed your slice of Japan videos. I really hope to get to Japan someday, but until then, I have you guys wonderful videos
What a nice surprise to have a video this morning. I was not expecting it yet. My family was able to go to Madrid and have a wonderful vacation seeing two of our exchange students. Then we returned and our kids started school. We have a senior and freshman in high school this year. I pray that your children have a wonderful start to their school year. ❤ Welcome home.
Glad you had a great summer , and made it back safely . Very surprised that you had not arranged some form of rota with friends to maintain grass etc .
I missed your videos, but glad you had a great time and made it back home safe and sound! I live near Champaign and liked your dad's shirt he wore at the airport. Go Illini!
What a great last hurrah! Goodbyes are the hardest but there is no place like home! I am glad you guys made it home safe and sound and no suprises on the drive back. Glad to have you all back, Fridays were really quiet but you all deserved the break.
Oohhh...the good-byes break my heart. My son (and now his wife) has lived in Taiwan for six years and I know those good-byes from the momma-heart side! :'(
Also just like mentos like drop (liquorice) flavour :) it is a bit addicting to snack on being minty outside liquorice inside which is my fav combination on many sweets 🍬 as a Dutch person, watch out if you don’t have an aquired taste for it) and I also like fruit or minty… or random sodapop flavours. Traveling is always a tiny tinge bittersweet? More sweet though, I love it but I also feel like I am leaving pieces of my heart, which isn’t a bad thing honestly. It means you have places and people you love and care about at more places… and love even in it’s simplest way is beautiful. I love onigiri it is probably one of my favourite food things, simple but good. Returning home often feels weird. A friend in Japan (internet friend) was suddenly gone heard news the old man is in the hospital. Distance sucks a bit. We’re “just internet buddies” but hey look if distance wasn’t an issue, and provided the old man would appreciate a visit I’d be there with an entertainment bag for the hospital (with some puzzles and idk activity book?). Was proper worried when he was gone offline so suddenly. Do care about him and want him to do well, besides we got some online games to play still too. We talk over google translate.
Good question! I should cover that in a video, but in short FaceTime makes the world a lot smaller than it used to be! You can actually feel more connected to loved ones than those who live close by and never connect.
