And not just mid-11's... 11.08 in the final run! Nothing against the driver (who is obviously a professional, just not in this discipline), but I'm sure with more launch practice there's at least another 10th or two on the table. Not like he cares lol, but as you said, very impressive considering the car is clearly not optimized for drag racing. 132mph is a solid low 10-second trap speed. A 10-second car that can also murder just about anything on a road course, what a beast!
nooranik21 Supergramps hurt me. Supergramps has been my favorite MCM car from the start and I feel that he'd have a great chance to rival the v8 supercar. I hope he's back up soon but I'd also love to see the repairs.
My emotions while watching Supa Gramps: "Supa Gramps got this..." Followed by: "NOOOOOOOOOO SUPA GRAMPS!" Immediately Followed by: Sweet, we going to see more of Supa Gramps.
Super gramps is heavy and only tuned to 350-400hp. It was going to loose, marty should have gone easy on the launch.. I have a 02 bugeye at 350hp and ive grenaded two 5mt and one 6mt
I'm not a massive Subaru fan. But I actually love Supergramps. Loved watching the build of it as well. Definitely the best car you lot have built. Also turbo Yoda is my spirit animal.
By that logic basically every MCM car is not a project car then... any car that Yoda or Benny have touched, or Rake or any of the others was 'built by professionals'.

I had no idea the Ford Falcon was still a thing. Interesting how Australia kept it alive. Too bad about Supergramps though - that would've been an interesting run.
We dragged it up to 2016 because we love our RWD domestics, and utes as well. We dragged the USA ford 200ci inline 6 kicking and screaming along with it to eventually end up with the turbo barra 4L - the engine actually powering the cresta. It was a sad day when falcon production ended so no more domestic RWD sedans and utes, and no more barras/ turbo barras
I literally watched the entire saga of gramps and super gramps today to get done and are this new video up. I was so excited to see super gramps race and heart broken to see Marty break it. Damn it.
Ryan Gribble Well, that's another car to fix Alongside 2SEXY with its blown 4G15 I died inside when Martin broke Supergramps. Like a part of me just went missing. Kinda hoping he makes it better though while fixing it, because that's the MCM way
I love how Chaz gets the best time and to the limit of what the car can do when he is losing. Rises to the challenge instead of cracking under pressure.
@@RealNzlord LMFAO I know this was 4 months ago but the only reason why a GTR has 4-500 HP is because it's got a turbo, V8's make that naturally aspirated there's really no competition there.

i thought it was the best race out of the lot of them. considering how light max is compared to the falcon. that extra power the supercar has i don;t think it would matter if max had slicks

They don't have it anymore. They pulled the engine and sold the beetle. You can see the engine on a stand in the mira build. A MCM forum member bought daisy not long ago, but it's still without an engine.
Liking before you even watched because a 20 minute mcm video is already bomb as it is regardless on what they're doing :') Do we ever find out what happened with the "lend us a ride" series? they were awesome, or will you ever do those again. Maybe a different destination. If thats something doable/beneficial for you guys ahaha
The V8 Touring cars could do (high)11 second quarters back in the early 80’s. Not much progress in over 30 years! Glad at least one of the MCM cars could chop it!
Hey Guys at mcm!!! This video was great, been a supporter for a while. But I have One question: Where do you keep all the old mcm cars? In a large garage or warehouse? I would appreciate an answer, make more vids like this!!!!
Is it like a "this is how we store/manage them" answer, or a "we keep them in a magical alternate dimension between space and time that flurpy the unicorn opened up with unicorn farts one day" answer?
nitrous07me you're supposed to leave it open in the background for extra sound effects. If you get lucky the sounds match Marty and moog face expression.
the run in the focus RS was within 0.1 seconds of the car and driver time. id say thats very well done indeed. FYI check with Ford about the head gasket recall on the RS. might want to get that sorted before it becomes a bigger issue.
