Oh the days when Gillespie was in charge. Its gone downhill since he retired. Took years for cross country to be taken seriously and they change that as well. Instead of messing with the races look after the people who pay to get in. Its not a pleasure anymore. Stop tinkering with the races.
@@MayTheHorseBeWithU it's like marmite u like it or u don't. I think it's gd for the horses that are going to the National but I know u r not alone in your opinion. Changing it to a handicap won't please anyone
these changes is pure vanalism ,these horse changes want make a blind differance to crowd sizes the price of food, drink.travel and hotels is what is causeing lower crowds + i bet the big owners are absolutly thrilled like caldwell potter lets spend £800,000 plus say £30,000+ a year to win some hanicapps at cheltenham that will help with getting better bloodstock, all i wish now is some of the best novices wont turn up at cheltenham but be aimed at their home campains and may be aintree that is what this barbairiens deserve
Been a racing fan for years and the slide towards a generic handicap-stuffed NH calendar is startling. Changes such as these will only turn more punters away.
Who’s the changes supposed to benefit? The racing hardcores? Because half the casuals who go to Cheltenham won’t be able to tell one race from another anyway.
sorry but this MATTERS we need majar help maybe sponsers like turners and Michael O'Leary plus others can may be we will from next cheltenham have to revise if we want to continue sponsering races at cheltenham and even other meetings that chelenham have in the season
