how many „new“ racing games were released in the 2023? and how many of them have „microsoft“ and xbox empire in the back to push them + this game has been included in the battle pass from day 0… hmmm so i guess game of the year is based on players and „downloads“ and so on… or maybe it works different.. idk 😂

Yeah, total SHIT this game is, everything was being reused since FH1 and they have much less customization than older games did. Good job making this pile of TURD while saying "Built from ground up", everybody can see from trailer that this game is totally lazy and uninspired. Even Crew Motorfest did much better job than this game, I can enjoy the game with lots of chaos during Grand races but still fun to play with others.

I think Forza developers said that they would receive a 2.5 second penalty per lap if they wouldn`t pick Forza as the best...

Pretty bad take ngl physics, graphics (compared to fm7) dynamic time of day, dynamic weather conditions, are some very needed features and they delivered them for this game.

I'm on pc with everything maxed & I cannot believe how average the game looks. I have it via game pass & even then I don't think I've got my money's worth, it's one of the few games id want a refund for if I'd bought it as their new "leveling up" cars for upgrades mechanic took away one of the few things keeping the game interesting. I struggle to believe anyone on the production team sampled games like GT or Assetto to see what players like in the genre.

How can a two year old game be game of the year and wasn't GT7 panned pretty hard initially so like yeah I'm sure it's good now after two years of being updated. GT7 didn't get me to buy a PS5 and this new FM still looks like complete trash even though I could just play it on PC. I think I'll just play GT2:A-Spec mod instead, or GT4 or FM4

@@IdiotRace GT7 was pretty good even at launch. And it didn't suffer from performance issues like this game. The whole backlash was about microtransactions being implemented in the game and the devs being stingy with their reward system. That's about it.

@GF-mf7ml I'd also put NFS Heat and Rivals because of the cop chase. Carbon is also pretty scary for the canyon race. Undercover also kinda scary because of the highway battle. The Run is scary because of the close-to-the-car POV and some races are really tight. Man, I just realized that the NFS series is racing/horror

It looks a bit weird to me. I had that once in a Race that a Player couldn't see me and he rammed me off like that the whole time. There is also a Bug Report about invisible players in a Race.

I still haven't gotten it yet. The reason being the first time I saw the penalty system and some of it's bogus calls. Until I hear about a sure fix I'm gonna pass on this one.

The game registered him turning into him as well to avoid the grass is probably why. I've never done online racing bc of this crap, the only thing I've done is virus and tag bc it's fun to embarrass tf out of players on an open airfield chasing you and you just dip or do some unrealistic stuff in a stang while they're in an f1 car

Wreckfest 2: Motorsport Boogaloo

Ivory Tower did amazing with the game though, even if i dont like they stepped away from initial theme of TC1 to go for something akin to what forza horizon is, motorfest is actually a really solid racing game that knows what it wants to do and does well. its not the best thing ever but it is not a mid game.

It's barely functional itself. The Car meet feature was broken for months. The livery editor doesn't work for a large majority. The co-op "crew" feature that the game is named after is broken. The Grand Races are the only form of PvP. Still no 60 fps on Series S, apparently. Even though there was in the beta. Many of the most limited edition vehicles can't be painted or customized, making them less unique in the end instead of more, since everyone will be that gets them has the same exact vehicle. The wheel selection is abysmal. They need real aftermarket brands with multicolor areas, and more paint types than just chrome. The map is too small. The game is too grindy with not enough ways to grind for each vehicle discipline and The Main Stage expecting way too much of people's time for monthly "rewards". The only fun things worth doing repeatedly are The Summit and Grand Races once the campaign is finished.

The Crew Motorfest is a glorified DLC of The Crew 2, but at least they did something with it because FM(8) is the exact opposite.

That's actually realistic to the actual vehicle, as aerodynamics are less effective at that speed compared to the large amount of physical grip from the tires and brakes, but I do agree, it took me multiple minutes of watching the video before I realized it was okay.

@@toddvandyke4292 the rear wing is not supposed to go down so early nor so fast while braking is still performed… do you imagine how unstable the car would become in less than a second ? When braking from high speeds, the wings remains up until the car goes under a precise speed I guess maybe 80kph. Anyway, you should we (or re watch) the Bugatti Veyron cs Eurofighter video from Top Gear BBC. Seems like Grand Turismo developers know how it really works 😅

​@@Veyron971from what i remember in Forza Motorsport 4 and the original Horizon, the Veyron's wing lowers below 100mph unless you're braking, in which case it only goes down if you stop or release the brakes.

That being said I'm eager to try out this game myself whenever Linux support is finally implemented, it still looks really fun.

He drives well enough for K&M, nothing phenomenal. Go watch some racers that participated in FM competition, its night and day. ISAD actually mentioned 2 of them in one of his videos.

It’s arcade-sim. So the cars are detuned to be controllable

If you are driving with metric units, just switch to imperial units and pretend your MPH is actually your KPH, you will have the best sense of speed because 80 MPH look like 80 KPH
