Fascinating video Xiong! Who knew pigeons liked Vanilla Coke, haha. I will definitely give it a try as I am teaching trap training my 2023 babies right now. It’s my 4th year with pigeons after a 23 year hiatus and I entered them in their first races last year but didn’t do well at all. Was a racer I believe it was NY. Starting winning a lot of races in his club. They tested his birds. He was giving them coffee. Disqualified and I think was thrown out the club. So caffeine is no good. Just a heads up.
Awesome video! I never though adding soda to feed, does any soda works or it has to be the vanilla coke? How long do you use this for YBs on training? thanks
Any Coca Cola works, I just happened to have this on hand. I like the regular Coca Cola or cherry flavored one for them, but this works as well. This is only recommended for trap training and short tosses. I’ve flown them up to 50miles on this and they did just fine. But I never flown them on this remedy beyond that, because I would rather use other remedies and vitamins for stamina and endurance. This is basically just treats to drive their appetites up to make them want to eat and respond quickly to your whistles
@@jovaniemoralde9624 off and on for one or two months will do, once they have learned to trap fast, you can just use regular vitamins and minerals and they’ll work just fine. I give them this once in awhile after a training or loft fly to get them excited again whenever depending.
I am well thank you. In my opinion it works because of taste. Coca Cola is able to absorb deeply into the seeds, after eating and digestion of a small portion , they’ll crave more sooner and respond better, rather then just plain seeds. Sort of like how a person would react to their favorite dish over some plain bread.
If you live in the UK, Netherlands, or European Countries where there races are only 50-70kms. The birds will clock right in in the early morning without a dropper. Just make sure you get the pigeons used to flying home for their snacks.
