First to have 251 Pokemon owned in the Pokedex and beat Red on Mt. Silver wins the race. Glitchless rules apply.
We randomized all Pokemon, Moves and Items as usual and added the Full Item Randomization on top of it to make it more interesting!

Half a year late, but my 3 ship of Cleffa, Quagsire, and Ursaring lasted way longer than I expected. Shen shot it down at 5:09:18, and Chris at 5:30:16

Chris bingo’d me at 3:19:47 and Shen got me at 4:38:54 - Porygon2 Qwilfish and Jumpluff. Decent amount of time between them and caught in a different order so that was cool. Almost missed Shen’s as I watched this non-stop except picking up my lunch and he caught it as I got back to my desk😂

First shiny was a Swablu in Emerald. Had no clue why it was gold in the summary but blue (normal color) in the PC (the little sprite), knew something was off right away. Was so confused until much later I learned what shinies were.

1:35:09 GGs, well played to Chris :) Given my ship had two ultra trolls, (Lantern - Yanma - Sneasel), I'm surprised it got sunk so quickly - Variance do be wild sometimes. It'll be interesting to see how long it survives with Shen given he's 0 for 3 atm. Edit: 2:58:49 for Shen

Finding shiny Scyther in the Bug Catching Contest is so cool. I caught a shiny Shadow Scyther in Pokémon Go without realising. My first modern shiny was Galarian Mr. Mime, which I only realised by the sparkles since that was the first time I saw a Galarian Mr. Mime. I also found a shiny Rellor and only realised because there were two differently coloured ones on the screen at the same time. That was also the first time I saw Rellor. At first, I thought it was just a different form. And finally, when I was a child, I bred a shiny Magikarp from the Red Gyarados, which had me quite confused because I did not know about other Pokémon being able to be shiny.

My first shiny was a geodude in gen 4 even though i've been playing since gen1. I had an irrational dislike of gyarados and would KO the red one every time i played gen2, and i never even realized it was a game mechanic thing until way later in gen 3. I encountered two others in gen3 before the golden rock boi but it never went well catching them due to circumstances.

I always get traumatized when Shen and Chris talk about shinnies. My first pokemon was gold and I besides the gyarados I found a golden golbat in ice cave and cried cuz my box was full. Had no idea other shinnies were a thing

I always love hearing other people say their first shiny was one they didn’t even realize was shiny. My first shiny was a Goldeen way back in Crystal. I never realized it was shiny until I was organizing my boxes one day and out two Goldeen next to each other and saw the slight difference back to back.

1:47:30 The only time I used furret in Johto was in my second playthrough of Heartgold. I got pokeballs, walked into the grass, and my first encounter post-balls was a shiny sentret. Only time Ive ran a furret through the whole game.

Started playing pokemon in gen 2 and it took me until ORAS to see a wild shiny (other than rage Gyarados). It was a Makuhita in Granite Cave.

0:18 my ship is Vaporeon - Jolteon - Flareon Sunk by Chris at: 2:23:22 Sunk by Shen at: 1:45:10 I've been playing pokemon games for like 10ish years now, and my only shinies ever were a shiny Spinarak in a romhack (called Shiny Gold iirc, a "remake" of Gold in gen3), and then two more in a Minecraft mod (of all things) called Pixelmon, where I found a shiny Mareep and Pidgey literally next to each other... And yea i did know by then what a shiny was 1:46:47 first Lv100, p sure mine was a Vulpix (yes i didn't evolve her) in Crystal Clear romhack 3:02:00

I must have caught a shiny and never knew, I played for way too many hours in gen 2. My first shiny i caught and knew was many years later when I was a young adult and caught a fearow on cycling road.

I was a gen 1er and I think because my first shiny being Gyarados it made me realize that there was different colored pokemon. Then I caught a shiny venomoth in fire red.

my first shiny was in gold, the route south of golden rod in my first playthrough. It was a Rattata, I thought my game was broken since it was a tan color. I caught it and realized later I got one of the most garbage shinies. My brother went through the same thing but he though it was a missingno thing and he didnt want to break his game so he killed it😅

My first Shiny was a purple drowzee i found outside the day care in pokemon gold. I was like 7 years old or something and always thought why is this one purple and not yellow/gold? Later found a golden seaking while playing through it again like 5 years later. Btw my battleship was Magneton-Cubone-Magmar Chris sunk 4:26:56 Shen 4:34:50

Not sure if Shopsanity works with the Map Randomiser. Map Randomiser is a pain for Catch 'Em All. Also not sure whether the logic allows for all areas to be accessible.
