This forum will seek to explore the nature of racism in sport, and what the various codes, in particular the NRL, are doing to address the problem.
This follows the highly publicised media coverage of Timana Tahu's courageous stance in walking out of the NSW State of Origin team as a protest against racial remarks made by a member of the coaching staff.
The forum's expert panel inclues: - David Gallop, NRL CEO - Graeme Innes, Race and Disability Discrimination Commissioner - Dr Barry Judd, Post Doctoral Fellow, Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies, Monash University - Deborah Healey, Senior Lecturer UNSW, commercial and sports law expert - Marcia Ella-Duncan, former Australian netballer

I really enjoyed this talk, I would recommend fixing the title so that when I share it, it has a more meaningful title that matches the video

today, i watched a rugby league grand final match at the park between the London skolars and the hammersmith hills hoist. London skolars had this black player with an afro and i heard a hammersmith hills hoist supporter shout from the crowd directed at this player "get a haircut, you golliwog!" i was appalled to hear this and i wanting the skolars to win but they lost 26-6.
