I totally concur. People like that need to learn to not go around poking their beaks into matters that don't involve them. As for that stupid woman saying that we all need to learn the "official language of this country", little does she realize that this is the ONLY country in the world that actually DOESN'T HAVE ANY "OFFICIAL LANGUAGE". For ex., 1 of my best buds, whom I love like a brother, speaks Urdu b/c his family's originally from Pakistan -- even though he was originally born in Brooklyn. And does it bother me?? NO WAY!!! In fact, he's been teaching me a little bit of his language.

I do not care if you speak your home language to each other. But if here and you speak to me, use English. If you expect me to learn your language in my country, not going to happen. I will not learn another language to make you feel comfortable.

First of all I was born in New York and my parents taught me to love language all of them you have any idea how hard it is to learn English as an adult it's extreme hard

Where I grew up Spanish was important to converse with many, not to mention I also had Polish and French spoken in my home. I wish I could still speak as fluently as I could as a child. I'm working on it though and it's coming back slowly but surely.

Good point and I am glad that you're open minded, but I would like to ask you a question. Where does the type of americans that have a boot up their ass regarding latinos and hispanics draw the line? Lets say that we have two incidents in your part of Texas. In the first incident we have a white american who's grandfather has moved to Belize and has gotten married to local woman, well this person are in public place while talking to their grandfather on the phone by the end of the call their step-grandmother want to exchange a couple of words, how ever she's not that good in english so our white american person switch to spanish. But what would if any of the border wall supporters would happen to be around during the latter half of the call, what would the odds be that this MAGA supporter would lash out verbally over something as miniscule as spanish being spoken? In the 2nd incident a group of tourists from Spain are having a conversation in spanish while enjoying a meal in a local restaurant in town, but again what the odds be that some mexican hater would immediately assume that the caucasian people at the table next to theirs who's speaking spanish while eating would have to be mexican migrants that haven't gotten accustomed to american life, and would starting ranting about the same old tired bullcrap about "this is america speak english"
