@@jamessandwich330 I honestly don't get how people say he was impossible. Were people just not upgrading weapons and leveling up or something? Yeah he was a hard fight but nowhere near impossible.
I've been playing offline for weeks so I'm still on 1.02. Glad I got to experience the glory and the agony of pre-nerf Radahn. Those arrows he fires at you are lethal and extremely difficult to dodge.
@@silversnail1413 Only part of the fight that gave me any issues, then again I was also rocking a pretty strong dual katana build. I'm with everyone saying the nerf needs reverted. I haven't fought him post nerf but pre nerf wasn't even that hard, out of all the endgame random enemies that 2 shot you, Radahn gets nerfed?
@@jahronman573 Ya I know that feel. He's not impossible, people just give up to easily and demand instant gratification. You're always going to see people settling for something easy when hard is way more satisfying and often rewarding especially in gaming. People reviewing the game as too hard to even beat come off as sounding way to deficient. It's a game, its not rocket science, and its definitely not the hardest thing to do on Earth. In my opinion, he's not broken and whoever made the decision to nerf is dumb for giving into airy demands. He was worth 30ish deaths and the satisfaction in learning his mechanics the first 10ish deaths. Its sad that some of these people will beat him now on their first try. I hope they do not nerf the other bosses please god.
Man. He has the best fkin lore in the game. HE DESERVES TO BE THAT POWERFUL. Let us beat him at full strength. Let us beat the godly legend he is. Let us end his suffering, the man has suffered enough.
@@quaddamage7765"yOu UsE bLeEd, YoU pLaY tHe GaMe WrOnG gIt GuD 🤓☝️" (it's a joke btw, he's very hard even with summons and spells so beating him without is very good, well done 👍)
Exactly, the patch didn't change as much as people act like it did. People who whined about difficulty pretended it meant they were right and that FROM agreed with them, and the other side pretended this made the boss easy.
@@sid7med06 Elden ring reforged mod is pretty good for that. It has difficulty settings and it changes Radahn’s attack patterns and AI to be a lot more difficult
I played this with the seamless coop mod, which with a single player in your it doubles his health, the damage was the same but the dude would easily 2 shot or even 1 shot me still, we were never able to beat him until we went solo.
Im happy I defeated Radahn pre-nerf, I died to him for 5 hours, but then I had to go to bed since I had college, and the next day I killed him on my second attempt.
I feel ya, bro! Took me 3 but I was getting so frustrated I stopped focusing on attacking and just practiced evading, but then I got into the zone or something and when I came to myself he was already at 10-20%. Such a feeling! My favorite boss so far!
Still remember fighting him pre patch and being stuck on him for hours. Called out of work for elden ring and played from midnight launch all the way to 10 at night with my friends. Best gaming moment I’ve ever had
The patch was only a fixing a hitbox bug where he would hit twice…people are greatly over exaggerating how difficult he was pre patch. I beat him my second attempt before the patch and I wasn’t even overlevelled
This. I came back to the game after two years with a new character and he kicked my ass so hard I had to summon the NPC's multiple times until I beat him, he still hits like a truck even when I was level 70
@@jamessandwich330 I googled more and saw that he's only stronger now, not the same as he was at launch unfortunately, but it's still good news nonetheless. I haven't tested how it is now but it should probably be in a balance of hard and fair.
It doesn't feel like he was buffed. Pre-nerf Radahn took me an agonizing 4 hours to beat on my first playthrough. I just started my 2nd playthrough and beat him first try , it felt like he was wet paper.
Beat him after patch. Was annoying with the one hit kills but definately felt his health was too low. Got him to half health in like 1 minute on my first try
I don't understand, you didn't show any differences, I don't think he got that much easier players just got good. The clips you showed were just people getting one shot by the one shot attack that still one shots post nerf. And you probably can do the post nerf strat pre nerf aswell, it's just that no one tried.
Everyone who's fought him before the patch knows the real struggle and perseverance it took to take this absolute legend down... #bringbackpostnerfradahn
This is just me but this is how i see the video; Before patch: i stand in the impact zone of him comet attack and die. Whooaaa After patch: i hit him with overleveled weapon. Whooaa
The only thing that was actually changed was some hitboxes. The changes to his stats were reverted almost immediately. And yh he's always been pretty weak. Most people rocked up to him with no vigor first time so remember him being much stronger than he actually is.
Now you can one phase him. If you play samurai and dual wield katanas (idk if other classes work too, I’m new and this is what I did), if you roll under him once, he just won’t go into phase two. You can literally hit him so many times he dies faster than he can go to his next phase.
I beat him first try at level 60 and I got the game after patch, tbh I think they did too much of a nerf cuz this is my first souls game and radahn is the only boss I did first try
Yeah, before patch he was almost oneshoting me at lvl60-70(I alwayslevel my vigor) that was recommended for him. After patch he felt like the easiest boss in the game, I defeated him without summons at lvl 50-55 and was questioning myself what did i do wrong on my first playthrough.
I wish I could have beat him pre patch but never got the chance. I heard how difficult he was so I was hoping for a good fight but the update installed before I got to him.. I bet him in only two tries.... kinda sad
I fought him post patch. He still seemed pretty hard to me. Granted I got the game only recently so I dont know what he was like before and i fought him solo so i dont know if the summons change it up that much but i had a great none the less. My favorite boss in the game
Pre nerf= doesn’t use torrent, post-nerf=uses torrent 😂 if you want it more challenging just fight him at a lower level, don’t use summons/ incantations, use a weaker sword. Just play it how you wanna play it. 😂
I love that he's nerfed in lore, and now he's nerfed IRL. I hope we get a way to challenge bosses we've already beaten at their peak in DLC, similar to Sekiro. I'd love to fight Radahn, Placidusax, and Malenia in their prime.
Ah yes, showing bad gameplay of streamers not knowing how to dodge the easiest attack in the game and showing an overleveled maxed out character destroying Radahn with bleed is such a good comparison...
Here since pre nerf, literally died 47 times before I got it i was so mad when I heard ppl really went hard for the nerf and fromsoftware actually listened but u know what.....DLC 😅😅😅😅😅
What were the changes with his nerf? Did they make his meteor easy to dodge because I’ve never thought of that attack as scary, nergi from mhw was much scarier
@@jamessandwich330 they didn't reduce his health, the reduced arrow/magic tracking, made his sword hotboxes match the actual model, and decreased his damage by about 10%
its completely disheartening to me that ill have to beat this boss post patch. i bought the game late and seeing this boss fight made me so hyped and intimidated, completely ready for the challenge. now seeing what he's been reduced to legitimately hurts
Dude same. His meteor attack alone got me hyped on his difficulty. While I don’t know how many bosses they nerfed so far since i recently started too i have felt like the bosses don’t live up to the “hard” standard and now knowing this boss got nerfed is disappointing.
I got the game on release, but since I started with this as my first FS game I got my ass kicked in hard, and went into a training arc lol, beat renella but i dont want to miss quests of i can prevent it
Understandable I hate the nerf too because I'm playing through the game a second time with a new build, but I promise there are a lot of other really awesome fights you'll still get to experience!
I love this video because it’s completely so blatantly trying to lie about the severity of Radahn’s nerfed it’s actually embarrassing. The before version being nothing but the Meteor attack THAT STILL ONE SHOTS then shows an after version of him getting bleed proc by the NPC Okina and somehow this is supposed to be some dramatic change. The level of misinformation is unbelievable.😂
I believe you are correct, I've been wanting to do a deep dive into what exactly has changed between 1.0 and now. The for sure change I've found is a reduction in some of his hitbox sizes.
I always overlevel for everything so I can't tell the difference. I didn't go after Margit till I was like level 45 or 50. Did every dungeon and explored all I could before I even went near a castle or those opened wide areas that just scream "bossfight" to me. I learned real quick from Tree Sentinel, Nights Cavalry, Deathbirds and Dragon Agheel to explore and expect the unexpected when literally minibosses can spawn anywhere anytime and that was just in Limgrave! Ps I beat him second time, he got me with the comet move first time, as I was playing blind.
My first playthrough pre-patch, I had my decent struggles against a good number of bosses, but I was beyond hyped that I had somehow defeated Radahn on only my second try without exploits or using summons. That was the one fight I felt like I was in the zone
there are still elden ring versions out there that has the v.01 or v.02. so if you wanna face Radahn at his peak, it might be something to look into ^^
HE HAS BEEN DRAINED TO A 12K HP FUCKING DUNGEON BOSS. GIVE THE MAN WHO HELD BACK THE STARS, THE ONE WHO BROUGHT THE SCARLET ROT GODDESS MALENIA TO A STANDSTILL, THE MOST FEARED AND STRONGEST DEMIGOD SOME FUCKING RESPECT
Beat him twice pre patch. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY!?! Who thought that he was hard!?! Literally had zero trouble defeating him. Yeah, it wasn’t first try, but it wasn’t more than 5 or 6. And I’m FAR from being a pro Souls player. Literally everything I do in the game is dodge and swing my sword 😂.
elden beast is like the worst boss in the game, its not even difficult, its just high damage (but holy only so u can use the incant which significantly reduces holy dmg) and an awful camera, and u gotta do radagon/marika again if u die to one of its dumb moves which u couldnt even see because the fucking thing is too fucking big
There’s no second phase? Please tell me you just edited the meteor scene out. It was so cool seeing the boss literally crash form from the stars. I beat the boss pretty fast took about 10 tries then came back the next day and got him on my 3rd. Definitely not a needed nerf
This vid didnt age well, they revert the nerfs except for the most annoying things, like the one shot meteor and the magic. BTW I did beat him pre patch, and its the same thing nowadays except for the annoying telegraphed long distance attacks, and the meteor. Okey i forgot the mention, the hitboxes are fine now.
Oh man i remember fighting him, not knowing of that meteor strike move. I was streaming the game for my friend who already beat him and wanted to see me struggle, and he told me to look behind me in the sky. I turned around and my heart sunk when i saw the meteor approaching. It was the end of the world in my mind, yet i perfect rolled it out of sheer luck and we were both screaming like baboons. The memories...
No wonder, i was thinking wow people really had that much trouble with him? I got him at my second try and thats cuz i messed up the first one doing stupid sht. He was nerf that makes more sense
I beat Radahn as a summon by myself while my friend ran away summoning our spirits, sadly the next day we literally got the patch that nerfed him. I don't have the full satisfaction of the victory as I didn't get to do it on my own world.
Wow it’s almost like a status effect did it’s job and the nerf was reverted because it was a glitch only thing changed was hitboxes you just learned how to fight him because his movements and combos were very different at the time
After watching this I thought the way people was talking about pre patch Radahn was like him doing crazy combos and stuff. Whole time he wasn’t even broken it was just that ONE singular move that made him “Broken” yall made it seem like he was doing Malenia type combos or sum shit💀
