This episode of VEGA talk deals with the measuring methods radar and guided radar, also known as TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry). Which sensors are suitable for which application, how do level and interface measurement work and what are the advantages of the two measuring principles?

I really need help, how do I change peak values in diagnostic category? They seem to be random and I have already entered the right range. Do I need to use a software for that?

can we remove the guided probe and convert the same into non contacting type ?

@@VEGA_Level_Pressure We are using this level transmitter for anti foam dissing tank for dosing of sea cooling water, model VEGAFLEX 61 guided microwave, the problem is that, there is frequently LT failure because of formation of salts on the probe, the chemical for anti foam is NALCO 71101 which is 100 wt, no dilution, we don't know how the salt is formed on the probe

@@shabrazk5182 Thanks for the explanation. Removing the VEGAFLEX probe does not work. To check, whether a non-contact VEGAPULS radar sensor would work better in your tank, please contact your local VEGA subsidiary or agency and we'll find a solution: www.vega.com/en/company/vega-worldwide

@@shabrazk5182 What is it you want to measure, the liquid surface under the foam layer, the top of the foam layer or is it sufficient to know if the foam reaches up to a fixed point? In the latter case, I have successfully used a very simple conductive level switch. It can detect extremely light foam that many detectors have trouble with. If you want to see the foam surface with analogue signal, a radar with large antenna (like Ø 150 mm) is needed.
