The bottom of my radiator support was gone and needed replacement. I couldn't find a video on replacing the support on a Ranger so I recorded a few clips that may be helpful. I bought the replacement on Rock Auto for $130 including tax and shipping.

It gets better. My great grandfather was John Braxton Burgess, my grandfather was John Anderson Burgess, my father was John Fulton Burgess, my older brother is John Patrick Burgess and his son is John Sean Burgess so we have plenty of John Burgess' in the family. Are you from West Virginia?

I have a 97 2.3 SOHC pretty much the same core. I stopped the tear down when I saw the spot welds. Ended up having a weld man put in a piece of metal reinforcement plating instead for the meantime is pretty solid. This vid is just what I needed to see. Tell me again if you still had to spot weld back or just did all bolts---ahhh I see all bolts. Dont know why I just cant quit my Ranger. I have done the motor mounts, both fore leaf spring brackets, cab mounts, as well as the front end bushings (Ford not chevy-but looks very similar). I can post the parts if anyone asks. Couldnt find a good used exhaust manifold. Had to use something like furnace cement on the wear gap in the short tube (a common occurence).

Sounds like you've been busy. I didn't weld anything, all I have is a cheap stick welder that I used on the frame when replacing the spring mount. My only mistake was drilling out the spot welds on that one driver's side flange. After that I thought what am I doing, I need to leave that extra metal so I cut the rest of the flanges and left that extra piece of metal at all the attachment points. Some time ago I restored a '69 SS Camaro and installed a pair of factory quarter panels which were still available from the dealer at that time. To simulate factory spot welds where it showed I drilled a hole in the new quarter panels and puddled it up with a brazing rod and acetylene torch. After painting it looked like spot welds. Thanks

I ordered the radiator support from Rock Auto. Here is the link to the one I ordered. It was only $81 but the shipping cost was around $50 but it was still the best deal I could find at the time and it fit very well. Thanks www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=686401&cc=1137967&pt=812&jsn=1

I looked it up and all it says is "VARIOUS MFR FO1225120", but it also says "No Longer Available". I believe I saw it on Amazon also but at a much higher price. Thanks
