Man, I wanted this one SO BAD as a kid. I remember how overexcited I was before every birthday and/or christmas when I though I was going to get one, and when all presents were opened and no Technodrome, DAMN I was dissapointed. So even though I never had one in my childhood, I'm still happy to see one of these up close considering how hard it is to get one complete.
This brings back so many memories, yes I had no have the Technodrome. I remember it was Christmas 91-92 and I begged my parents and Santa Claus no less for one everyday. Christmas Morning came and behind the multitude of TMNT Toys including the Mutant Module was the Double Decker Mobile Fortress! I played for hours on end torturing Turtles and the other good guys (very much like you just did) using Ninja April as Shredder's slave/prisoner till it finally collapsed.
I think this was one of 3 of the main vehicles me or my brothers wanted when we was kids playing with the TMNT figures, the other 2 being the drill used in the cartoon by Shredder an his mutants an the Turtle Van. I do have 2 or 3 of the figures from then, have managed to get the Lego version of the Turtles an the Mega Bloks / Mega Construx Technodrome.
I've lost more than a few parts to this but i still have all of the dome, base and eye radar. I might not be able to use it as a playset, but it displays just fine.
easily the best christmas gift i got, i played the hell out of this thing, so many things you could do and unlike the sewer layer, this sucker had wheels to crush anything in its path! personally i think the Technodrome is better than the deathstar...i mean c'mon, yes the deathstar blew up planets but 2 were destroyed and one of them wasnt done yet...the technodrome was concealed in a planet really wasnt destroyed (maybe i forget) and it brought horrible things to earth from dimension X
these videos are awesome i love the ninja turtles i have always wanted a technodrome but i cant find any that are complete or still in box it makes me sad
@trans8010 Years later about 15 or so I entered my local comic shop looking for some well comics and behind the display case was a TECHNODROME MISB since I was in there every week and practically put the owners kids through school (A Great Exaggeration I know) he let me have it for 90, 90!!!! Temptation set in and I of course opened assembled and stickered up and while occasionally playing with it the playset proudly sits on a shelf in my Toy Closet until I have enough room to display it openly
