really big help! thanks so much for sharing all this info! i mainly needed to understand the rotations concept since i don't come from a radio or radio automation background. i did struggle with the sweeper and repeat rule configuration, could use more info on that stuff, cause i'm running a one artist radio of my own music which creates a weird issue... but i did get it working through trial and error, though not entirely sure why... i'll prob resolve this over time as my library expands... either way, great video and thanks again!

Do I need a broadcast partner such as Radio.co who I pay to for running my internet radio station or to download the software off the internet and start streaming without paying for it? Also , Would I have to pay royalties for playing my own mp3 songs stored on my laptop? Is it ok not to use platforms such as Spotify , iTunes or Epidemic Sound as again I am happy to use my own already downloaded mp3 music.Also, what about the license in The UK?

Installation tip - as of August 2021, for RadioDJ version 2.0.0.6 and 2.0.3.1 beta (maybe others too?). RadioDJ setup was straightforward after first installing MariaDB version 10.4.21 or 10.5.12 (version 10.6.4 gave RadioDJ database-setup error). MariaDB is just another "brand" (development fork) of MySQL, better in some key respects. RadioDJ sees it just as MySQL, no special treatment/configs needed.

Can you do a video on how set up events in radioDJ v2.0.0.6. This is an old video and the set up is different having trouble setting up to play automatically

I must say, I would love to see radio software to work more like radio used to be. BAsically, an extended version of Club DJ software like Traktor. Where you can fade in/fade out and cue each song and jingle on a specific channel rather than have one output. Am a more "on the fly" DJ who like to do it the way it was done back in the day of cart machines and CD players. Even digitally, have a proper USB controller deck that lets you control the entire software.

I have a technical question. I'm currently using this version of RadioDJ and when I try to use my DAW, it says "No Input Available!" I've tried installing and uninstalling the drivers, and tried ASIO4ALL but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

good night I need some help with this software I have installed it so many times it has now made me confused. it never works, first thing is I cant even get the encoder plugin on the screen and if I close the program it doesn't restart at all. I downloaded the version 2 of the software and follow all the instructions to the letter and still nothing. I literally don't what else to do with it at this point please I really like this program and would love to use it but right now I'm frustrated with it, any help to get it working would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for the video. I want do play top of the hour commercials but I don't want to wait for the song to finish. I want the commercials to interrupt the song. For ex: I want the commmercials to start at 11h56m25s before the hour in a way that the beep and a voice track (time) plays at the exact time zero (12h00m00s) and then play the rest of the commercials after the hour. At the rest of the hour ex: 15m, 30m, 45m the commercials wait for the song to finish but I don't want that to happend at the exact hour. Radio DJ doest that? Thanks.

How do you intergrate an external mixer, with mike, and discs, with Radio DJ, at the same time as you are using music in the computer to stream?

I must say, this looks a hell of a lot more confuting than the old fashioned way of "pop a CD/record/cart in the player and hit start on the corresponding channel" Hell, that's where I prefer Virtual DJ for that (Or MIXX if you want a free one). Just load the track in said deck, cue it, and hit play when you need it. Fade in fade out at your leisure. A bit more hands on, but a lot less preparation, and far more flexible and more control. Hell the thing even has it's own auto mode if I need to go out to the bathroom or grab a smoke. You can either plug the whole thing in one channel of your board, or like me, use 4 soundcards and a remote to control it all from the board itself and broadcast like they used to do in the days of NAB carts.

In scheduling events is it possible for it to cut in on what is playing so that the event starts exactly at the time you set it to start?. At the moment I do not seem to be able to do that.

Hey man, awesome breakdown of the basics. I learned to navigate the radiodj thanks to you... I was wondering how are you streaming. Are you streaming with shoutcast? I cant seem to connect the shoutcastv2 with radiodj I've used the altacast plugin update for radiodj_1.8.2. I cant seem to input the user field in credentials and cant input my Station ID because value doesnot go over 100000. Can you do a video for connecting your radiodj. Would be great if you can help! Can Radio DJ be interfaced with the logic on a broadcast console? In other words, can you fire the cart decks with the on/off remotes on a typical broadcast console? How easy is the process of making playlists manually instead of automated process? I am currently using RadioBoss and making play lists manually is extremely tedious. I understand that RadioBoss is made for almost %100 percent automation but there has got to be an easy way to make playlists manually. I like to personalize my shows by picking the songs and not the automated process. I am currently looking for a replacement for RadioBoss. Thought I would try RadioDJ.

Hello .. I am Brazilian and I would ask for your help. I set all my RadioDJ and is working perfectly. I hired a streaming audio, and use the Opticodec SE, but the nowplaying file is deleted after the execution of the first song. Already created this file out of system folders like My Documents for example, and even then it deletes. Do you have any suggestions? Parabens the channel. Thank you..
