In this video I pull apart and describe in some detail the home computer that started my career for me. The Radio Shack Color Computer 2, or Coco as it was known, was based on the 6809 processor from Motorola. It was the first computer with Color Graphics from Radio Shack (hence the name) but compared to today, it wasn't all that colorful at all!
The Coco could have up to 64k RAM, and supported accessories such as disk drives, modems, printers and so on. One thing that was very neat about this machine was its ability to run a multitasking operating system (OS-9) back before multitasking was a "thing" home computers could do.
