Echotherapy is now a much more up to date procedure than EVLT, and is completely non invasive. If there are any incompetent perforators then Transluminal Occlusion of Perforators should be carried out by a Phlebologist and an Inteverventional Radiologist. A full Endovenous Duplex ultrasound vein mapping scan should be carried out while standing to identify all incompetent veins and perforators. Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy should be carried out eight weeks after these procedures.
