I was there that night.. 10 thousand people singing their heart out back to you.. unbelievable. when we left everyone went back to the underground still singing "for a moment there... I lost myself "
@@shoegazer5451 karma police is my hands down favorite song of all songs have never gotten sick of it have countless remakes by different artists and interpretations. I learned it on guitar and piano. Just a fantastic piece of audio art imo.
I'm a musician and think Ed is the most underpreciated musician in the band for that reason. From all albums you heard the 'weird noises' 90% of it is Ed. He is the master of what we call 'soundscapes'. Those textures you hear. Like who thinks about ending a song with an endless delay going into oscillating?
@@juniorlandsberg4142 Yeah I think so too. The best part is that Radiohead plays studio quality live. Yes there are no orchestras of any kind, but the sounds they produce are kinda the same. I think Radiohead without Ed would sound way more plain.
Just for all of you - make time and do it. I've been to 6 Radiohead concerts. It is mindblowing. They are better live than anything you could ever imagine.
I managed to see them live for the first time... too bad I got way too fucking high so by the time Ful Stop rolled in I was in another place... I guess you could say I lost myself
Great example of someone who doesnt have a traditionally beautiful singing voice but has a lot of passion, an artistic inclination and a great band. The full package in my opinion!
Part of it i think is that the audience is honestly singing the whole thing by the end- by 1:48 the audience was on it, Thom sings a harmony and the audience stays on key, so I think he improvised more
it was truly an amazing show. i was lucky enough to be towards the front, and they played most of my favorite songs (no surprises, there there, 2+2=5, bodysnatchers, street spirit). when the song ended and the crowd kept on singing with thom, it was really spectacular. me and my mom were lucky enough to have passes for all four days and saw radiohead, and my other favorite band, lcd soundsystem. lolla was truly magnificent, i hope and pray that 2017's lineup is just as good
Bess Connelly My best concert experience was Rage Against the Machine at Alpine Valley on August 24th 2007. I also thought it was a top experience of my life at the time, I like hearing other times people have rated concerts this high. Radiohead is an incredible band, I have seen them live twice one time was at lolla 09. I couldn't make it to this one unfortunately but thankfully for me there is a lot of great footage out there. If you look up any Rage alpine vids most comments are of how it was there best experience ever. I think it's interesting to see so many people share the same sentiment about live music, it's awesome!
LYRICS [Verse 1] Karma police, arrest this man He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge He's like a detuned radio [Verse 2] Karma police, arrest this girl Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill And we have crashed her party [Chorus] This is what you get This is what you get This is what you get When you mess with us [Verse 3] Karma police, I've given all I can It's not enough, I've given all I can But we're still on the payroll [Chorus] This is what you get This is what you get This is what you get When you mess with us [Outro] For a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself Phew, for a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself For a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself Phew, for a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself
Tired of seeing boomers comment on every good classic rock song saying “the new generation will never have music this good” oh yeah? Well this came out in 97 and Radiohead has consistently put out perfect songs since. So how about you listen to some music today and stop acting like music stopped getting better after 80s
This is not the quality of the music that changed it is the business of the music. You could see real artist( in the sense that they were buildind a piece each album had its own universe) being "mainstream" the same artists today are more "underground".
I am a Boomer (57 years chronologically and about 14 mentally), and I totally agree with you! My 22-year old son has turned me on to some great music over the past 8 years, and I honestly believe there are still a lot of amazing singer-songwriters out there! Perhaps Boomers should try to listen to, instead of constantly criticizing, young people and new musicians! I would say that close -minded Boomers are the problem....not the youth or the music of today! Cheers to you, William!

I'm in love with Ed's backing vocals This is what you get... This is what you get... When you mix your drugs! History is going to be very very very kind to this incredible band.

Colin - I'll stand near the back of the stage, facing Phil so no one will see me... Ends up getting his own separate LED panel with an extreme closeup.
i still cant believe i was there. this was the most amazing thing ive ever experienced in my life "Enjoy the rest of your weekend, dont mix your drugs, have a good time" - Thom Yorke. Legend
Fantastic song from an excellent album - OK Computer. For me Radiohead is best band in the world. I’ve seen them years ago in Lisbon when they weren’t yet as famous as now and it was an unforgettable experience.

I was walking in Sao Paulo in a raining night returning to my house after a long work day, and then this song just entered to my Spotify session... I was observing all the people, the city and his lights, what experience I had. Thank you Radiohead ❤
1:50 Ah meu Deus, eu arrepio tanto quando chega nessa melodia do piano!😢 Radiohead, não sei qual música é a melhor... Oh my God, I shiver so much when it comes to this piano melody!😢 Radiohead, I don't know which song is the best...
man, watching that, I find it hard not to cry and Im not sure why. Its beyond moving, and its like witnessing some kind of group emotional human sync/bonding.....there was a moment right at the peak where he, they and everyone literally does lose themselves and im not trying to be funny in saying that. its like they create a temporary new world ......i cant really describe it.
I think I understand what you're trying to describe! All these different energies coming together (artists and the audience) and accidentally transcend into a new space temporarily where everything just clicks into place. I've had those moments before. It can be a spiritual experience.
This is what you get to mess with me... Thank you Radiohead. I was on strong drugs from 4 years old I was born in 1982 17 of July my medical is realy bad cerebral palsy me fighting with balance everyday of my life....
