Compared to other medical specialties, radiologists often lack social prestige and recognition. They are usually referred to simply as "a doctor" by scanning center personnel. Many patients and the general public view the role of a radiologist as similar to that of a technician. Although the starting salary can be appealing, after around three years, practitioners in fields like general medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics can earn substantial incomes. If your objectives include a fulfilling work-life balance and financial stability, it may be wiser to consider pursuing a strong engineering program after high school, which typically requires about 4.5 years of study, rather than dedicating ten years to medical postgraduate education
The way Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning etc is progressing , more than half of Radiology as a stream will vanish and taken over by AI in future … I predict 5-7 years from now radiologists will start facing obsolescence.. please be cautious while opting this as a long term career
Aise bhi Radiology has stiff competition.their position is like consultant. They can earn that to limited and also hardly feel they are doctors as they cannot have direct contact with patients.
Haha bro then why GPs are still working? AI can also work as a Gp, chatgpt write a clear and effective prescription.... Well, Ai can take over on other jobs but cannot in health, because it's a sensitive field. Mistake in Spreadsheets or Programming could be bear but couldn't bear mistakes in health .
The advancement of AI in radiology is a significant development, but it doesn't necessarily mean radiologists will become obsolete. AI can assist radiologists by quickly analyzing images and identifying potential issues, which can improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. However, the expertise of a radiologist is still crucial for interpreting complex cases, making treatment decisions, and interacting with patients. While AI may change the nature of radiology work, it can also create opportunities for radiologists to focus on more complex and critical aspects of their job. Additionally, new roles may emerge that involve overseeing AI systems and integrating them into clinical practice. If you have concerns about the future of radiology, you might consider diversifying your skills within the medical field or exploring other specialties that interest you. It's essential to stay informed about technological advancements and be adaptable in your career.
Interventional Radiology is going to take up the space of neurosurgery, oncosurgery, urology and many cardiac surgery procedures . Prospects and chances of increasing seats in Interventional radiology sir?
@@dr.anuj007 if not in future, then there will be any way? I wonder what if it will be unmanageable, then what will I do. As in radiology it's totally depend on screen time.
Dermatology is preferable if you work in some metropolitan city where your private practice will work , people can afford spending on their looks…in my personal opinion your own looks and personality also matters in dermatology as its more of cosmetology in private setup. Radiology will be safer branch !
Sir what if any person fails in last year exams of residency will they have to give neet pg again or they will be given chance to gi e the exam again?❤
Sir gaining a seat in radiology is itself the best thing but I want to know does it affect like from what college we are doing our pg in radiology cause if a person is able to join in his or her own locality nearby college which is known for its name ...kyuki rank toh agayi hai na har koi radiology nahi le sakta toh college.kaise matter karega teen saal
Branch matters more than the college. Because even if there is not much exposure of cases in the college during PG, you can gain more experience in Senior Residency and thereafter. Learning is a life long process in medical field.
Exposure to good spectrum of cases might not be there. But you can cover it up durinh senior residency from a good government hospital. So its not something to worry!
You will get job of a Radiographer. The demand of radiographers is limited as mostly the private centres has ultrasound and x ray only. CT and MRI are present in very few private centers where they need Radiographers to acquire the scans.
@@cap10yt82after MBBS one can get admission inMD Radiology which is three years cours in Medical college. This admission can be possible only after clearing Postgraduate Medical exam or NEET.

Sir mere ke question ka reply de dijiye hm Google RU-vid sab pe cheak kr liye hm conform nahi ho paa rhe h....... Radiology and Radiologist dono same hota hai kya aur gar nahi hota to kisme neet ke jaroorat hai kisme nahi
Radiologist is a Doctor jiske liye pehle NEET UG clear krke MBBS krni h aur uske baad NEET PG me top rank laake MD krni h. Radiographer is a technician jiske liye MBBS krne ki zarurat NAHI h!
