Better late than never! We spent new years eve 2021 going to hot springs and snowshoeing to a frozen lake! Kootenay National Park is a hidden gem and is definitely worth visiting!
We start the day going to some 'hidden' hot springs at our resort (Fairmont Hot Springs Resort). These aren't actually 'hot springs' as they are just the pool run-off from the resort itself. But the setting is gorgeous and worth checking out if you can find the entrance ;).
Afterwards we do a 5.2km hike to Dog Lake in Kootenay National Park. It's our last hike of 2021 and spending it in the rocky mountains was amazing!
Lastly, we end the day at Radium Hot Springs which is also located in Kootenay National Park. The naturally heated springs was a perfect way to end the day and close out 2021 for us. Happy New Year!
