He says a few too many times he 'doesn't have blood on his hands' for that to ring true plus all the histrionics is a bit much for a hardened soldier as he must be. On the other hand his appeal to his friend to leave the army and the way he said they don't care for him and his condemnation of Putin the Tyrant mean he is saying the correct things at the very least.

Of course, he "didn't knew" what for 200 000 man strong Russian army was gathering near Ukrainian boarders in Bielgorod region аnd Bielorussia for a few months since 2021 before invasion 24.02.2022. But what they knew well - is to rob houses of Ukrainians, rаре girls, women and few years old children in front of their mothers killing their fathers as soon as russians invaded Ukraine. They knew well what cash and jewellery for. Russians knew pretty well about war with Ukraine months ahead. Russian television was preparing them to war few years in a row. Наtred towards Ukrainians was translated through Russian mass media 24/7. 90 % people of Russian Federation were mocking and bulling Ukrainians if they met in Chatroulett (online chat service) about future invasion of russian troops to Ukraine. Of course, they knew and anticipated future war and chance of robing and raping. They waited for it. They hoped everything will go easy like during the occupation of Crimea and didn't ехpect such fierce resistance of much smaller Ukrainian army, armed civilians and militia. They were promised to get a house or apartment in Kiev each of them. They came to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians and when they became captive - they cry. Hundreds after hundreds of Russian soldiers taken prisoners in Ukraine - and not even one of them shot, killed or robbed somebody according to their words. He is in another country, because he was mislead and sent in as cannonfodder by his own country he grew up in. And like many other young men he was targeted by the military recruitement, because he is a member of a minority or immigrant, often being the ones providing for their sick parents or younger siblings. Being extremely depressed wouln't help his situation.

And it will quell the rumours of how brutal the Ukrainians are with their POW's. Although questioning I can't believe how considerate of the POW's situation the questioner is. In lots of them he's actually trying to get them to think, really think about the illogic of the Russian strategy.... if they have one other than genocide.

I can see that this guy was being honest. He is really hurting to go back home to his parents. His Father was also trying to help his Son with his pain, and I can imagine that his Parents are hurting alot also. Всегда знал, что в советской армии был бардак. Служил и знаю это по своему опыту. Думал, что российская армия стала более профессиональной. Ни х… не стала, какой был бардак такой и остался. Военнослужащий не знает, что он уже давно находится в чужой стране и понял только тогда когда их начали обстреливать. Если здесь расскажу любому американскому военному, они просто оху…т. Вторая армия в мире, а если послушать пропаганду, то первая. Бункерный решил показать всему миру какая у него рукожопая армия.

У всех пленных основном амнезия. Не помню, забыл! Ветеринар -- танкист!! Вспомнил козел про украинцев, что хорошие люди. В основном у русских солдат слабая мозговая система не способны воспринимать действие.
Русские военные когда идут воевать в Украину должны понимать, что сейчас век цыфровых технологий и скрыть свои преступления не выйдет. Украина работает над тем, чтоб получить списки всех военных, знать кто когда и где присутствовал. Все свидетели дадут показания, телефонные звонки их прослушиваются. Просто перед тем как переступить границу, они должны понимать, что рано или поздно их всех найдут.

This is the first guy/interview that I had any feelings for. When he said he was responsible for taking care of his parents (and later the father just kept saying how ill the mother was) you had to think that he signed up for the army for the extra $$$. He will be one of the guys that has some form of PTSD for decades to come.
That's exactly it. PTSD and torment for life for being tricked by Putler. Then the parents who will still back Putler and disbelieve their sons, the torment will be compounded.

@@Rawdawgggg there are many stories like this tank commander. Most of the Russian tanks didn't shot at all against the enemy. They just broke their tanks and vehicles and surrendered. I mostly believe him. One of the reasons why Putin couldn't reach his goal was guys like this one here.

most of these guys look down and wont make eye contact, mostly because they feel shame or fear of what might happen to them, except for the su35 pilot who keep glancing at you to see how you reacted to his lies. This guy is openly looking you in the eyes and seems the most open and honest of anyone I have seen you interview.

My heart breaks for this one, I believe him. A veterinarian with a sick mother and nobody else to provide for his aging parents. He joins the military because it pays better and all they do is drive the ranks around for play army. He never even shot the tank. What could go wrong? Then someone decides to take him across the border in a truck while his commander says “f this!” And goes back to Russia with the 4 running tanks?. He’s very lucky he didn’t go armed or in a Russian uniform. He didn’t shoot anyone and his grief is real. Not fear for himself, but grief at the killing of innocent ps. I hope instead of being traded, he brings his mother and father to Ukraine and finds a nice girl to marry. What a sad story. It deserves a happy ending.
