RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre, Warrington 

A walk round the Heritage Centre, with over 10,000 exhibits of life at the former airbase.
Many short walks I've done from Whittle Brook to Twenty Acre woods in the Sankey/Chapelford/Old Hall area over the past couple of years were part of the land formerly used, but now built-up into housing estates.
Part of Gullivers World as well.
Worth a visit!
