A sad sight in the Mach Loop. The last RAF C130 Hercules to fly low level in Wales. So glad I was here to catch them on their final sortie :( A quick iPhone edit for now.
Thanks Daf. Just the iPhone this one, thought I’d id do a quick and dirty one. That drop off East does freak me out, a lot. I find myself being VERY careful 😅
looking forward to them flying over Lyneham this afternoon part of my childhood hearing those everyday till they left in 2011. going to miss that sound a fantastic aircraft
Thanks a lot bud. Yeah it’s a fair trek for me too, but I stayed in the Red Lion last night so I didn’t have the early morning dash. Hope you caught them at Waddo 👍
Ahhh nice work. I drove past Bwlch this morning at 6:20 and the car park was already spilling over on to opposite side. Hope you got some good shots bud. It was fairly windy on East so I expect Bwlch was blowy too?
@@UKAviationMovies yeah, I was on the verge, first I went over to exit, but it was blowing a huwey, plus I was the only one there, so I trecked back to Bwlch top shelf, I'm just checking my footage and pictures now, a fantastic but long day 👍🇬🇧✈️
Heartbreaking day, so much life left in the old girls, still a role to play however the powers to be know better🤬 I’m going to be grumpy about this for years!
Too many capable aircraft being retired from the RAF in recent years isn’t there. And too many “useless white males” apparently too. We’ve got some work to do to put us back on the right track… A sad day indeed :(
It’s really tricky to get it right. With these guys their route was pretty widely published. That route took them right through the Mach Loop so I put 2 and 2 together. Then there are factors like weather and serviceability of aircraft. It’s a minefield! Then some days it all come together so sweetly 😂
