Here is a relatively loose edit of some RAF Typhoon action from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire on 21st June 2013.
I had hoped to include the 2013 Typhoon display in this film, but the lousy British Weather put paid to that, and much more of the action too, but there is still much to see on this video despite the bad weather.
All the Coningsby Typhoon squadrons are featured here, including the newly painted 41 squadron Typhoon jets - there is also a couple of 6 squadron aircraft.
The opening section is the preparation and starting up of the display jet as it sets off for Blackpool, then some early morning action as a mass take off takes place . . . and the best action comes to those who make it to the very end of the video!
This aircraft will be performing at the south bay, Scarborough North Yorks on Saturday at 1pm followed by the Red Arrows at 2pm - if you live in Yorkshire don't miss this amazing opportunity!!!

Very nicely done - also was nice to see two seater variants and gives me (however remote) hope of filling the backseat one day! :)

I am studying typhoon programme in the Royal Saudi Air Force. I'm studying Mathematics , Technical English and More English Language with skills. After small time I'm going to the UK to Exford for complete the programme. I hope that.

Pretty decent short takeoff on the Typhoon. I'd be nervous if my Griffon Spitfire were anywhere near a jet-blast area.

I always use a tripod, with a good quality head. The camera I used for this particular video was a SONY XR160 with a 1.5x converter screwed onto the front for more power (nothing fancy there). I always set the tripod drag settings as stiff as possible to avoid wobbles.

Just noticed the Lightning in the background at 8'26". Typhoons granddad (and still faster!).

The Typhoon is faster than the Lightning, although not as loud...

n0deification dont think the Typhoon is as fast as the lightning, the Lightning still holds the climb rate .record.

*****,err,Mr. I don't know where U got yer info from or could it be that U have mixed-up the Typhoon's Max.speed in relation to the elderly-original Lightning, but the 1550 mph mark or something short of that ,could belong to the Lightning or maybe Tornado, not this Typhoon & newton18311,could in fact be right,if what were in many fact sheets, are the whole truth.Cuz from what was generally understood, was that most highly maneuverable fighter jets somehow could not afford being too fast. Then again, there's the exception, the very maneuverable Raptor that meets almost the speed that of the Eagle & Fulcrum Mig-29 affords Mach 2.4 wic almost equals the Tornado, but remarkably maneuverable too.On the climb rate figs.there, they are as U correctly indicate tho'.

Just to correct some misinformed people the English Electric Lightning was very fast with an incredible rate of climb, the Typhoon is even faster with a better rate of climb. The very agile Typhoon is very fast, people who read mach 2 and assume that is all it will do are rather ignorant It is rated as exceeding mach 2 and as having a climb rate of over 60,000 feet/min, the Lightning was also rated at over mach 2 and had a climb of over 50,000 feet/min. Just as the Lightning is rated as having a service ceiling of 54,000 feet and it could go much higher, the Typhoon is rated as having a service ceiling of 65,000 feet, Much of the performance is still not made public.

Question: if someone has a fear of climbing a ladder, even just to change a lightbulb - could I ever make it as a fighter pilot?

They smoke some...I thought modern jets had laid off that habit??? Also: What is that exhaust like opening with soothy trace on left side, in the wing root???

I think most modern jets still smoke a little on first application of full power?
