You keep the memory of these airmen alive. My Aunt worked as a WRAF hairdresser at Binbrook during the War. She often used to tell me about the airmen she met. Including when she ironed the creases of their uniform trousers flat instead of straight just before a parade. She sadly explained that somtimes she would be asked out by a pilot to go to a dance but the pilot was never seen again. Lost on operations. Chris. Do keep this up. What you do has great value. The spirits of these people are often still there. There is so much concentrated tragedy on these airfields. Many are still on ops. They dont realise what has happened to them. You do a wonderful job.

Lovely but also such sad memories for your Aunt as she saw young men leaving the base for the last time. Yes, these people are still on 'ops' and Chris is doing wonderful work in highlighting and keeping alive their sacrifices. Lest We Forget...

My grand dad helped build RAF Feltwell and few of the other airfields. I used to work on the base and in building 17 keeping the boilers running and also at night on the odd occasion, I knew it’s haunted but never had the pleasure of meeting any of the ghosts.

A fine compendium of supernatural accounts, Chris. As always, been great listening to them. The one about the bomber crew got my full interest, especially. The WW2 crewman entering the building looking around, as if he was sentient, wondering why there was a light on, but couldn't see the witness who was present. Two plains of existence within the same time/place as each other. Thanks for sharing the fruits of your hard labour regarding Feltwell's accounts, Chris.

Marvellous stories well delivered, you have one of the most interesting channels I've yet come across on You Tube regarding the paranormal. I'd be up for a ghost hunt round that base any night of the week. You made me LOL with the story of the scared shitless guy running like Forrest Gump out the building, that's the type of story I love. If that's true, imagine the horror he felt. Can you believe the film Forrest Gump is 30 years old this year ? I still can't wrap my head around that fact. Keep up the good work, you and your channel deserve more subscriptions.

I was stationed at Lakenheath from 87’ to 90’, and went to Feltwell on multiple occasions including for a 2 week NCO Preparatory School. Unfortunately this was long before the internet became readily available, so I wasn’t able to access all the information available about historical places in the UK. I wish I had known more about the area around the bases back then.

@British-Hauntings-and-History Месяц назад
i think that statement goes for a lot of us... its only recently that the information explosion has taken place...otherwise it was dig in the pockets for guide books or more expensive tomes on airfields or trips to the local library in the hope they had something of use

Listening to the recordings of them on the radio was very poignant. How calm the chap sounded. The voice of a Hero... You choose good music too. What is that piano piece? Oh wait I see you listed it. It reminds me of the Dance of Death tune in the old Yiddish film from the late '30s "The Dybbuk'. Those were some scary and very powerful experiences. To see a whole plane and aircrew is mind boggling. Is the place sat on a portal? The physical manifestations would have gotten rid of me I reckon. Great video :)

Many thanks for the above Chris. It's all so very interesting and helps educate and remind people of those times and the sacrifices made . I wonder if you would possibly consider doing an EVP on the site of old RAF Watnall in Nottinghamshire please ? It was 12 . Group HQ of Fighter Command and directly on the farm that my family owned back in the war. I am sure it would be intriguing and would definitely help preserve the memory of this often forgotten RAF base. Very many thanks.

Hi Chris - great video! RAF Feltwell is just up the road from me. I have been there a couple of times for work, and even on a sunny day it does have a creepy air to it in some areas. I work on RAF Mildenhall. The building I work in is haunted. I have had several paranormal experiences there myself, and parts of the base, especially near the old HQ building leave you with an uneasy feeling. I know that people have had unusual experiences in the Wing building too.

I have a question. I have had a lifelong interest in the paranormal and consider myself fairly knowledgeable on the subject. So while I can understand ghost humans and ghost animals, I absolutely don’t understand ghost airplanes like Lancashires or bomber planes. Thanks Chris; these stories are lovely but sad too.

you are asking about things above my pay grade ...however don't just think spirits, think of what some call residual hauntings - memories, crisis apparitions, time slips....i tend to concern myself with reporting on what i find as i have learned over the years ( i started investigating back in 1974 as a teenager), when it comes to the paranormal there are NO experts, beware of those who claim they are - we are all clutching at straws to understand and make sense of what often has no sense to it......it just is.......
