Hi Chris 👋 fantastic video as usual and most intriguing.....I can't help but think that these poor brave lads don't understand that they have died..the picture of the b17 flying low with no landing gear and looking like some of the engines are out is chilling...and no sign of the ball turret. Thanks again for another awesome video my friend ❤

I can't imagine how any of these stations can't be haunted considering all the tragedy that occurred in or near them. It does make you wonder if what we see is residual hauntings or active hauntings though. I think I'd feel very sad if I witnessed the airmen playing cards in a crashed bomber though. It does make you thankful for their sacrifice. Thanks for posting as always Chris!

I have encountered hauntings at the 306 BG at Thurleigh, and I am a cynic but this encounter changed my mind

Good video, especially those sad photos of the crashed B17s. When I look at those photos of the USAAF crews, I always wonder how many of them survived the War and returned home to America. I laughed about Cpl Warwick being carted off to the Station Sick Quarters after "seeing" the ghostly, card-playing crew which he said didn't exist! It would be interesting to know if this sighting has been seen since the 1980s. As ever, thanks and best wishes, Chris!

A sort of, erm..."poetic justice" for the said Corporal.

Thanks for this, Chris. It always interests me how many people see things and never report them for fear of being ridiculed.

I think it depends on the company you're with. I consider myself to be a reasonable, logical guy but I've seen too many things in my life I can't explain with logic. Fortunately on a few occasions I've been with other people at the time and they've seen them too.

Also...... Not sure if this is 100% true.... I read many years ago that a B17 was buried at an airfield in ww2..... not sure which airfield but I think it was in Northamptonshire. The RAF came back in the 80's or early nineties to dig the plane up for some reason but if any one can explain this I would like to know.

Great pictures Chris. Great accounts as well. Quite ironic the station commander ended up in sick bay too. Great video

Thanks for another well produced video Chris. I've been to Kimbolton and a few other RAF/USAAF old stations many years ago. I collected some keepsake from some, small bits of aircraft etc, but never saw anything out of the ordinary. The only place I experienced anything was Grafton Underwood which I visited over forty years ago when there were still some buildings there ( I don't know if they are still there now) I entered one and was looking at some faded painting when I heard a door slam behind me which scared the crap out of me because there wasn't a door left on the place TO slam!

Very strange account. My only take on this would be, that those poor guys are whiling away their time in a limbo/purgatory existence. Waiting to be called. Wonder if they are still around Kimbolton?

I wonder that, too, CJD. Perhaps Chris could visit this old airfield one day when his life becomes easier?

Great video as always, Chris! I think the old airfield and the surrounding area looks nice, but maybe it's hard to get a good impression from just a video. Being a solitary type, I do like lonely areas though, especially the ones waaaay out in the countryside, far from towns.

Yea😂 yeah as we always said If you hear anything at night its most likely to be a spider in airforce boots.

I had an experience connected to the Kimbolton base back in 1994 which has no rational explanation. Driving towards Catworth to meet the A14 on a summer evening I looked across to the old airfield and saw a large and slow low flying aircraft trailing smoke on a tradectory as if approaching the main runway from the east. So unusual I drove on to a clearance in the hedgeline to stop and get a better look and there was nothing. The plane was gone. Whats that all about?

Thanks. My pleasure. It happened so god only knows what I experienced 30 years ago. No aircraft of the 1990s would be trailing that kind of smoke and then just vanish!! Whoever they were I hope it was mission accomplished for them!
