#RAF #Typhoon #Rhyl #Airshow Traveled up to Rhyl to catch the RAF Typhoon Display at the North Wales seaside resort the light was crap and I left just as the Red Arrows were performing! Bournemouth next!! shot on a Sony AX53
As the 2022 Typhoon Display Pilot it was a big ask for Paddy to follow on from "Sainty" (last years Display Pilot) but during the season he has evolved superbly treating us to a beautifully skilled and excellent smooth display today. Fabulous and expecially important at the present time to see the best of the RAF in action. Outstanding video Elwyn...quite exceptional. Thank you.
oh my Lord! I was there and the sound was crazy! i remember it a year later! Those afterburners! also remember the Hawk T1 get smashed by a bird which wasn't meant to be there
Yes I was there! just got there in time after a days work and an hour and half driving filmed the Vulcan and drove straight back!! oh the good old days😊
I truly thanku for sharing these phenomenal beautiful gorgeous videos ..You are incredible at what you do ..it's an honour to be here on this incredible journey thanku again much love an God bless always from Cyprus x x x
Thanks for this Elwyn. I was about 50 yards closer to the river than you by the looks of it, but my little phone didn't do a good job of filming the action! 😥
If you'll forgive me a further quick comment on this year's RAF Typhoon display at and Rhyl captured so well by Elwyn...such outstanding airmanship and flying skills remind me of only a handful of exceptional display pilots. Ray and Mark Hanna (who could forget them) had such natural flying skills along with Sainty and the 2022 Swiss F18 display pilot (see the 2022 RIAT F18 display) and another comes to mind....the Italian Tornado display pilot of I think 2017/2018, sorry I don't know the names of these gentleman but each so memorable for their airmanship so it won't be a suprise that Paddy has now been added to my list of all time favourites. Looking forward to the Bournemouth video Elwyn. Thank you
The CAA have ruined UK airshows, all the aircraft, especially jets are so far away now, you need binoics or a huge telephoto lens to see them. After the Shoreham crash the CAA basically wanted to ban all jet displays. Shoreham was pilot error, and the organisers, the Shoreham by-pass should have been closed to traffic on the day of the show. Also the organisers had not done a risk assessment for the show for the past 3 years, they didn`t even have a display routine for the Hunter that crashed.
Such a shame you only made it on Sunday as the weather was beautiful on the Saturday. Drove up to watch the Typhoon as I love to 'feel' the sound. The Red Arrows display on Saturday was the worst I've ever seen them perform. Sadly.
@@ElwynR No, they really aren't. It wasn't just that, the whole display just didn't seem tight and felt less dynamic. Wrong smoke colour changes, some not displaying smoke when others did. Was disappointing after seeing so many good displays from them.
The Typhoon is a ‘fast jet’. All the aerobatics are very nice but get a bit boring. I want to see a 600kt low level past with full reheat. I was lucky enough to attend the RIAT at RAF Fairford in July & unfortunately the RAF displays where amongst the most boring. The Italians & Austrian displays kicked our (British) back sides.
