So after walking around some of the big bomb stores we moved on to see other buildings which were probably used for vehicles and maybe smaller munitions ... Also I think there was a tunnel that went from the storage site by rail to the main part of wittering base . I think we may of found it but it has long been sealed but was still good too find it ..Overall a good explore on a nice sunny day ..Hope u enjoyed and thanks for watching ...
RAF Wittering bomb store
Built around 1955 the Collyweston explosives storage area (ESA) was a munitions storage site for the neighbouring RAF Wittering. It homed mainly four types of weapons being 1000lb high explosive bombs, 68 mm SNEB rocket, BL755 cluster bombs and high explosive ordnance from RAF (USAF) Lakenheath.
