You mean to say even when he have abdominal tear he'll just keep on playing until he collapse on the court.I guess you are a healthy human being who does'nt feel any pain in you.If you did not like what he did pulling out at Wimbledon then that's is your problem not his. It's his body who will suffer not yours.
No, he didn't "wimp out". He did a very sporting gesture by pulling out, instead of playing a substandard match in the next round, and disappointing fans. You are not a professional tennis player, so you're probably unaware that these pros, especially when they are trying to extend their careers, have to take care of their injuries, and think ahead. The US Open is a few weeks away, and Nadal, who has a good chance of winning it, had to make the decision of playing on at Wimbledon, and quite possibly making the injury much worse, and being off the tour for months, or pulling out when he did. He knew he could not play 2 more 5 set matches, and he knew he had to be fit for the rest of the tour, so he made his decision. All Rafa fans were disappointed, as he was in a position to possibly complete the calendar year Grand Slam. But we also understood his reasons for pulling out. You don't have any understanding of Rafa's character, if you think he wimped out. If you watched this year's Australian Open, you would know he's no wimp. He was playing an outstanding hardcourt player, about 12 years younger than him, he was 2 sets to love down, and 2-3 love-forty down in the 3rd set. But he won. So don't call him a wimp.
