How far has the 19yr old french open winner of 2005 come...Gosh...so much has changed since that day...Rafa is probably the only sportsman to get into a music video (not sure about rating its quality but he was selected for it by a hugely popular singer) and to model with world beauties... that is definitely a feather in his cap... amazing young man Rafa...his parents would be so happy to have him as their son...
For all those getting confused here 😅. Rafael Nadal is Mallorcan wrt regional identity but Catalan wrt linguistic identity. Catalan is also largely spoken in Valencia, Mallorca (Baleric Islands), Ibiza etc apart from Catalanunya/Catalonia.
Exacto. Sou Portuguès e falo muito bem Catalao. Na verdade a língua é a mesma. É a mesma relaçao entre o meu Portuguès de Portugal e o vosso Portuguès de Brasil.
As a portuguese speaker I can understand ~80% of what he says, even tough he speaks too fast. Crazy how a dialect from a balearic island has a lot of similarity to my language.
Well, he's not even speaking Spanish so that makes it even tougher for us nonnatives (it's Catalan). The first parts generally seem to be about chasing the Slam record with Federer and Djoko., and then his prospects and history at the Australian Open.
@@carlosmagdalena978 Is not a mix, is catalan from Mallorca, what are you talking about. You can also say "mallorquí"(kind of talk), but still catalan.
You would have many more viewers if you troubled to put on English subtitles. Rafa has millions of English speaking fans around the world, who very rarely get to see an in depth interview with him, so this is extremely frustrating.
As if they would put on spanish or another language subtitles in every single interview with English speaking sports persons. In fact, this is mallorquin and it doesnt even have spanish subtitles. I undersrand it myself but there are tons of Spanush people who wouldnt. Not everything is English in this world my friend, fortunately!
